How much clearance would he need as a mess kit counting officer? Or how about a nice assignment as a club officer somewhere?
Since he seems to like newspapers so much perhaps he should work in the press clipping and filing intelligence department.

You just listed every Jew.
The hundreds or more of other who have betrayed the US since the founding of the Republic were Gentiles.

I don't need to "call" Tel Aviv. We communicate telepathically- as do all Jews.
Dang, we Catholics still have to send a telegram to the Vatican basement. We have to get with it.

Being Jewish is not a sign of disloyalty. According to the article, he wasnt stripped of his security clearance because he was jewish but because his ties to Israel (a nation) were too close.

His loss of clearance is fatal to his career as an intel type--he'll obviously never make it past Major. However, they didn't kick him out. If anyone were REALLY gunning for him, he'd have been Separated. Now, for him to go to the press with this is REALLY bad judgment. He shouldn't even get a Confidential clearance at this point.

Yes, I do think that his clearance should be reinstated. What security did he break by talking to the press? What secret did he spill? What trust did he violate? He was the victim of an incredibly stupid bureaucratic act and he complained about it. So what? By bringing it out into the open it may result in a trained, skilled intelligence analyst being returned to duty at a time where we apparently need all the intelligence help we can get.

"Not that there is anything wrong with it" but we would not have asked if you had not told.Who is we?

Considering you're not even supposed to put your security clearance status on your resume, blabbing about it to the press is unsat.

You really should be able to distinguish between rumors and facts- even if it was on TV Oh honored one. Tell me then, what is the largest block of overseas ballots received in the 2000 presidential election in florida, outside of military ballots? Are they Americans in Canada, Britain, Mexico, where or honored one?

Back in 1962, JFK transferred General Edwin A. Walker from being in charge of our troops in Europe, because he was an aggressive right-wing member of the John Birch Society. Some officials were afraid Walker might do something rash to start a war with Russia.
Walker was later used as a model by Hollywood to represent the crazy general type in Dr. Strangelove, and Seven Days in May, and "Spies Like Us".

Last Time I checked... They are on our side!Wrong thinking big time. Ask any military person, the Israelis are on the side of Israel. This may sometimes match being on our side, but not always. It is a big mistake to ever think otherwise.

Of course there is more to the story, and everyone here knows that. But you have to understand that some people are always looking for something that they can claim as "anti-semitism" or anti-something. Some people just love being a victim or part of the oppressed and downtrodden. You mean there wouldn't be all these posts if he was Irish? You have to admit though, among the anti's are those posters who are anti-service based solely on his connection to Israel.

I became a US citizen when I was 19 years old, and in fact at my swearing in ceremony I did have to verbally and audibly renounce my allegiance to Italy. I'm not completely sure but dual citizenship has always been allowed; but in order to maintain that dual citizenship you must be domiciled in both countries for so many months out of a year.
And I also want to add, that while I can't deny my affection for Italy; if a conflict ever arose between the US and Italy my total allegiance would be with the US. The US is the country that saved my parents and their children from being bound by their station in life. The freedom and the bounty that this country has provided for every American born and naturalized citizen is immeasurable. God Bless the USofA, now and forever.

A highly skilled analyst who (1) has loose lips, and (2) has just embarrassed his employers, whom he still works for, by blabbing about racism. No thanks. I work as a lawyer. If one of my clients fires me for being Catholic I will not talk to a newspaper about it. My attorney/client relationship is confidential, including any reasons they have for firing me. Only if they start lying about me in public, which didnt happen here, would I talk at all.
This guy had a much more important job then I do, and yet he thinks nothing of running to the press. No way would I reinstate him, and I would be quite happy to bet that his security clearance wont be returned, if for no other reason then his loose lips. No, he didnt betray any classified information, but he did betray his employer.

It works like this. If you claim something it is up to you to prove the claim. Simple right?
Got to go now. Got work to do- controlling the world is work too.

We need to increase Israeli intel with our own money.
No one's stopping ya. Cut 'em a check.

This is an uncomplicated matter. We are at war. I don't understand why any military officer should be allowed to maintain dual citizenship at such a time -- or at any time, for that matter. Certainly not an intelligence officer. We aren't told if he had the opportunity to renounce his foreign citizenship. I suppose he had his chance and foolishly rejected it, thus demonstrating that he's a security risk.
