The school opened in 1997 because there were not enough attorneys in the are to handle Coal Mining cases. They graduated their first class in 2000. They had 34 graduated. The school has 197 students.

According the MSNBC, the shooter is a foreign exchange student who was unhappy about the grades he was receiving. So, I guess he decided to get some revenge on the dean and other students. Sad.

She said the weapon was a .380 semiautomatic handgun. A man who answered the phone at the law school refused to comment. The Buchanan County law school opened in 1997 in a renovated junior high school. The school's enrollment is about 170. Grundy is in the Appalachian foothills, 120 miles west of Roanoke.
