With just a little over two weeks left before the November 5 election, Gov. Gray Davis is leading Republican challenger Bill Simon by 11 points in the latest News10/SurveyUSA poll.
The survey polled 700 likely voters throughout California over the weekend. They were asked who they would vote for if the election were held today. Davis came in first with 47 percent, Simon received 36 percent, Green Party candidate Peter Camejo was at 9 percent, Libertarian candidate Gary Copeland received 4 percent, and 4 percent were undecided. The margin of error in the poll is plus or minus 3.8 percent.
Compared to a week ago, Davis has slipped by one point. Simon is up by three points.
According to the poll, 51 percent of women support Davis compared with 34 percent for Simon. Davis has the support of 43 percent of men compared with 39 percent for Simon.
More extensive poll results are available by clicking on the link below.
This Survey USA poll is a joke. Just how many Republicans do you think hang around during the weekend answering automated telephone polls?
I'll look to the Field Poll as the "last word" on the status of this race. Field an excellent track record in CA.
If you want on or off my poll ping list, let me know!
Yep. This race is going to surprise many....
You forgot the /sarcasm !!
I'll ping the list.

2. Creative Use of Absentee Ballots
If you have a Democrat elections commissioner, the neat thing about absentee ballots is you can fill them out and count them AFTER the polls close. Always keep a big stack of ABRC's (Absentee Ballots Ready to Count) nearby in case you need them.
