OBSTACLE TO TED CRUZ .. ROTFLOL
Peter King .. Ted Cruz is already waaaaaaay beyond you.
Tell that to all the Walker and Rubio fans here. Of course, Sweater Vest and Gomer Huckleberry still have supporters here.
Shine in the debates? This effing idiot can barely utter several coherent thoughts in a paragraph.
Can you visualize peter king debating Ted Cruz.
Pee wee herman vs a Navy Seal would stand a better chance.
does he figure that he will suck up money that Ted Cruz would get?
and we all know that NO patriot would ever vote against the great Peter King./sarc
Well, that’s a worthwhile plank to run on. I’m sure it will draw tons of political donations.
“Hey Ethel...bring me the checkbook. I want to throw some money away on this King fellow.”
Pete King as usual blowing smoke, he can count on his own vote, maybe a vote or two from his family and that’s about it. Give it up Pete, you lose!
“Is this the conservative Peter King who
made incandescent light bulbs illegal
because he had invested in mercury bulbs?”
No could not be - this must be one of the Dumb Bulbs amongst the many from N.Y.
I’m still flabbergasted that 97% of FReepers didn’t, haven’t noticed that Walker was SELECTED for them last weekend.
I wish I lived in that ignorant bliss.
Plan B if Jebbie fails. Yep.
I believe that’s the one. He’s also gung-ho for the U.S. to become a high-tech police-state on the plea of protecting us from terrorism. Given his record, he seems more likely to draw votes from Bush the Lesser and Christie the Rotund than from Cruz, Rubio or (esp.) Paul.
Of course, for now, favoring Walker over the lot of them, so long as it’s not from Scott Walker, I don’t really care from where he draws his miniscule support.
Facts do matter!
An MSNBC host introduces Walker as supporting a pathway to citizenship in this interview.
Walkers response
One correction on immigration. Im talking about fixing the legal immigration system, not going beyond that
That’s why Walker is our new POTUS... internals had Mitt and Jeb going nowhere and Cruz already ahead of Walker in net positives and name rec per Nate Silver.
C’mon, Ted, get out and crush this manufactured momentum, today!
Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.[Posted on 11/19/2013 12:16:51 PM by Third Person]
Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.[Posted on 01/31/2013 5:08:50 PM PST by xzins]
Rand Paul's immigration speech...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.[Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg]
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reformLatinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...[Posted on 04/21/2013 1:52:42 PM PDT by SoConPubbie]
[but he's not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
Rand Slams Congress for Funding Egypt's Generals: 'How Does Your Conscience Feel Now?'Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt's military -- even as Cairo's security forces massacre anti-government activists. He’s been tarred as anti-muzzie by the Demagogic Party and their partisan media shills, as well as the various Islamofascist groups in and out of the country who pay the Demwits’ bills. Not a POTUS, but could be a good balance on the ticket with, say, Ted Cruz. Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Why is this guy a Republican?
Why doesn’t he switch parties if this is his ideology?
Shows Peter King is one nasty guy who acts not on what is best for this country but on petty points, reminding me of a kindergartner having a temper tantrum. He just makes himself look ridiculous as if those who prefer Cruz would vote for him.
Peter King hates Ted Cruz, but supports the IRA, which is communist and which literally taught the MIddle East how to do terrorism. And now he’s announced he is pulling a Fred Thompson in front of the whole world? How does he think that’s going to work?
Answer to my own, previous question:
The author of the article is very deeply confused.
Peter King used to be very strongly in favor of English as the Official Language, but generally supportive of immigration. And he’s always been very kooky, with a huge blind spot for the IRA. But he’s not running because he “hates” the tea party, but because he’s trying to make opposition to ILLEGAL immigration and its relation to national security a key issue.
