Glenn Beck on Ted Cruz: 'I'm not sure that he could govern'

Conservative radio host Glenn Beck said on his show Monday that he's "not sure" Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is able to "govern."

Beck made the comment while discussing each of the potential GOP presidential nominees and what he saw as their ability to lead.

"We are looking at unbelievable times ahead of us," Beck said. "And I would say on this, I'm not sure [Cruz] could get the coalition together. He'll be a bulldog and he'll stand for principles but I'm not sure that he could govern. I'm not sure yet."

One of Beck's co-hosts asked how Cruz compared to former president Ronald Reagan.

"Reagan had charm," Beck said. "He had charm."

By contrast, Beck said of former Hewlett-Packard CEO Cary Fiorina, "She could govern."(continued)

Agreed. Politicians are held to no standard an gerrymandering makes their reelection almost a given.
I read that the New Jersey Hedge fund crook is looking to start a business again lol. After losing billions! I forget his name.

I call his show the male version of “The View.” I can’t take it any longer than a few minutes with their constant giggling and trying to be funny. Plus, when he took a truckload of teddy bears and basketballs to the illegal immigrants - he was on my no-listen zone. They didn’t need teddy bears and basketballs - they needed a ticket back to their country of origin.

Maybe Glenn needs to define his terms...what does he mean by “governing?”

A Governor governs, a President presides.

We need to return to a President who presides over regular cabinet meetings and security briefings, and makes strategic decisions about the direction of the federal agencies.

No more micro-managing the governing of states as if their own Governors don't exist.

That was the biggest problem in the Carter administration. He even kept the schedule for White House tennis courts!

The woman from HP would be far less likely to govern this nation in a way as to rebuild our values and return it to its constitutional path.

She would be too busy trying to get a feel good consensus on things and would compromise far too much.

Cruz on the other hand, if elected, and with majorities in the House and Senate, would make sure that the proper legislation, the proper foreign policy, the proper energy policy, the proper immigration policy, etc. etc. was pushed through to begin turning our nation, our economy, and our status in the world around.

..and the Dems, the progressive liberals, the naysayers be damned if they oppose it.

I have FAR, FAR more confidence in that, than in anything the former (and I believe failed) CEO of HP could accomplish.

And these things are exactly what I want and am looking for.

IMHO, Beck is too busy testing the waters and the winds regarding this. It is clear Cruz has the right perspective on most all issues and is willing to stand and fight for them.

Beck always seems like he’s on some perpetual journey of discovery. And that he’s always arriving at some grand “truth,” right around each and every corner. Emoting like a schoolgirl with each cobble-stone he steps.

I don’t trust people like that. I find them highly unreliable. I’m drawn to people of solid convictions and solid character, whose beliefs and values aren’t hinged on daily mood swings or cheesey political winds. Cruz seems that type of guy. The type of guy that America used to be chockerblock full of in generations past. Before the country degraded into self-absorbed drama queens and pea-brained social justice warriors.

I was the same.

Loved his show back in 2004. Watch his TV program daily, sometimes twice. Read all of his books. The Blaze was my homepage for a while.

But the guy has popped some serious screws and just is out there. The Bundy Ranch sell-out of his was the last straw.

So...let’s review.

You asked. You got your answers. But you’re having none of it. Your mind is zipped up tight. Which begs the question why you asked in the first place, doesn’t it?

Groupie...that’s kind of cute. Hey, I’ve been called worse!

"Why? There isn't any evidence that Ted Cruz can govern."

If you're waiting for Palin, you're going to wait a long time. Come to the dark side...!

Exactly. And he needs to let the Congress do it’s job.

If the GOP could not defend Romney’s impeccable record in business, they will surely not be able to defend Carly’s, which is a heck of a lot more spotty and not obviously a success.

Her birth name is Cara Carleton Sneed, perhaps of the Essex Sneeds, more recently of the Boston Sneeds, perhaps . . .

Born Austin, Texas, from a family that had been in Texas for generations. She grew up in the San Francisco area, though. Her father was in the Nixon administration and was a judge for three decades.

Wrong. I have not asked. I have stated what I believe. And I was old enough to vote in 68, did vote, and; I voted from Vietnam. As to RFK, not one man I served with would have voted for RFK.JFK approved of the hat we all wore. Every SF NCO I knew voted for Wallace as Lemay promised us the bombs we did not have in Cambodia except on rare occasions.
