Theres going to be an important race for the White House next year, but then again, every election for the leader of the United States and the rest of the free world is important.
It must be so, because a presidential election is the only time many Americans will step into a voting booth.
The 2016 campaign is well underway, with Hillary Clinton already taking shots from would-be Republican nominees.
As of this writing, there are 20 declared GOPers and at least five other credible Republicans still mulling bids.
Of course, Hillary is also under fire from a self-professed socialist, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont. Sanders is actually an independent who caucuses with Democrats, but is presently getting his kicks and giggles by exposing Mrs. Clinton as the Wall Street insider and big business-loving moderate she is.
Its been interesting to see how Hillary has handled the role of early frontrunner. She has been somewhat reserved in the past month. That will soon change.
The real fun, however, is watching the Republicans scramble to make the grade. Who will emerge as the GOP frontrunner? Who will Tennessee Republicans back?

When Tennessee failed to re-elect him to congress, he told his constituents "You can all go to hell. As for me, I'm going to Texas."
And so he did, off to the Alamo and immortality.
You've got to admire what he told his constituents almost as much as what he did at the Alamo.
I always thought that was way cool.
“It be a valid question to axe.”
LOL!
Actually it’s not. He is a stupid East TN writer. He knows by the time our primary comes around the nominee is usually picked already.
It show is!
They never got over Howard Baker’s 1980 campaign.
But is he writing the head line or was his article pasted off to someone else?
My guess is he didn’t write the headline.
The author is not only whiter than milk, he’s a hard core Dim in an overwhelmingly Republican area. He constantly shills for Dims and trashes Republicans (particularly conservatives; establishment types, not so much).
Um, Cruz is who be the pick.
And, Cruz is also getting donations from this TNMOUTH too :-)
