Are We Seriously Doing This? Trump Leads Texas Poll
The San Antonio Current ^ | August 20, 2015 | Michael Marks

Posted on 08/20/2015 3:14:01 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

It seems that Texas Republicans, like Republicans everywhere else, have caught Trump fever. Insert your favorite pathology joke here.

Donald Trump is the favored presidential candidate among Texas Republican voters, according to a poll released today by the Texas Bipartisan Justice Committee. The Houston Chronicle reported the results.

Trump leads the poll with 24 percent support. Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who had led most Texas polls up to this point, came in second with 16 percent. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson is the only other candidate to garner more than 10 percent. Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Florida Senator Marco Rubio follow close behind.

Trump has proved to be unassailable. Just one of his campaign trail transgressions could have sunk another candidate, but somehow, he’s done more than just stay afloat. Like an aggressive and possibly deadly hot air balloon, he continues to ascend.

Trump’s campaign missteps include:

-labelling Mexicans who cross the southern border rapists

-calling for mass deportation of illegal immigrants (including those with U.S.-born children)

-suggesting that Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly had blood “coming out of her wherever”

-listing his position on just a single issue on his campaign website

-making it clear he was totally joking about those "dating my daughter" comments he made back in 2006

-offering $50 to anyone willing to cheer for him at his campaign announcement

That's an impressive lifetime list for anyone. For Trump to rack up those accolades in just a few months is a monument to his abilities as some sort of rabble-rousing hair piece gremlin.

Still, the surge continues. Trump is Teflon. That’s apparently as true in Texas as anywhere else.

God help us.

Love the list of Trumps missteps from this clown, and yet is Trump responsible for the deaths of American citizens and military personnel like a certain demoncrap candidate?

Out of all of those, Trump might get one done. You know how government works. He will never get everyone of those things done. If he gets 3 done he will be the best President in our history.

So, then, are we to infer from your comment that we shouldn’t even try? What other candidate(s) has said anything close to what Trump has said?

No, Trump SAYS he will do all those things. Doesn’t mean he will. The guy’s positions change a lot, and of course he has no legislative record to hang his hat on, so no actual proof he believes... well anything really.

Sure, so long as people wise up when it’s time to vote and make Cruz the nominee.

Consider the size of the tent Trump has. 16 years of the Apprentice (a show I couldn't watch) made him a pop culture star. This is a group of people who:

Have never voted

Vote based on hair style, or who is leading in the polls, or feel it is their duty to vote but have no clue

Vote for who the public sector union boss tells them to vote for.

This unknown but large voting block is voting for Trump. What team is he on? Republican? OK, I vote for republicans. Except that one, The Donald said he is an idiot.

Logic and reason left town. This election will be driven by emotion. Nobody can change that.

Enjoy the media and elites melting down on TV. Save logic and reason for the next election, they won't work this time.

Trump is a nationalist.

And when you have a nation demoralized down as we have for 8 years, nationalists resonate.

That is how we got Reagan in 1980, whom thoroughly Democrat Texas also suffered a bit of “collective insanity rivaling the days of supporting slavery to back him”, as I can only suppose was also said by someone back then as well.

Ya know what? Right now, the thing is that people are responding positively to what he is saying and getting behind him. I don’t care so much anymore whether or not he will prove to be genuine. It restores my faith in my fellow Americans to see this response. Success breeds success.

Well, ‘he’ obviously isn’t seriously doing this, so he must be addressing his fellow RATS with the ‘we’.

In other words, we have a new political specimen: Trump Democrats which are moving needles in polls, and they are
crapping their panties.

So are conservatives who, for some unknown reason, expect the nominee to be ... you know ... conservative.

This kind of thinking is exactly why we got saddled with eight years of Obama. People are simply not thinking things through.

No, Trump SAYS he will do all those things. Doesn’t mean he will.

Doesn't that statement apply to every single person on Earth, politician or not?

So what, we should vote for nobody?!

That would be the Dems wet dream.

I am trying to think if there is anyone else in recent history that could pull off what Trump is doing. I don’t think so.

If they are rich enough to not have to rely on donations..they worry about the backlash to their companies and try to be PC.

Trump is a honeybadger.
