"The Donald. Unlike any other R candidate, he has the potential to re-create and attract ‘Reagan Democrats’ and even bring mush-brained Millennials to our side. He is a populist in the best sense of the word."

Trump is a liberal.

I'm sick of the false premise that we need to attract moderates and Democrats to win. Romney, that world-beating severe conservative, won the moderate vote, and what did that get him?

I'll stick with the solid Constitutional conservative.

I still do not think he could pull in the votes to win. Trump drops out, the votes scatter.

Really, it isn’t personal or anything. That said, his vote for TPP and his vote for the corker bill do give me pause.

Teds money is donor money. Donor money is Goldmann Sachs and others similar.

Bothers me. But I would vote for him.

My first reaction to him was very favorable. Then he started his spiel about amnesty, and I decided that no way could I support him.

I know, right? More cabinet-worthy people than presidential candidates.

As much as I despise Mitt Romney on policy, he might make a good Commerce Secy too.

Do you think I work for Goldman? I’ve raised over $40,000 for Cruz.

Nice, but 400,000 aint’ but a drop my friend. No offense intended. hate to say it, but Cruz could not get the crowds Trump gets.

Against him is the fact he is in the Senate. Short term. People right now have only contempt for those guys.

Hillary is drawing “crowds” of 200. Cruz is getting 3-5,000.

"Trump/Cruz. Trump connects more with fly over country and common folk - which is weird because he is a billionaire. Ted is intelligent, but talks over people’s heads - he doesn’t connect as well."

Spoken from sheer ignorance. If you knew anything about the way Cruz campaigns--indeed, about his Senate campaign---you'd understand how silly that is.

" I also don’t trust him on illegal immigration "

I wonder why, when Cruz has said there will be no pathway to citizenship, and that we must secure the border.

"or the fact that his wife is on leave from Goldman Sachs and was on the CFR committee. These are things which bother me."

Yet id doesn't bother you to pass by the most solid Constitutional conservative we have because of where his wife works (globalist conspiracy!) in order to support a liberal.

All righty.

Wait until they vote. You won’t see Rats come out heavy this next year, but they will get out the vote. Bush barely beat a slug like Jon Cary.

I mean nothing mean about Cruz, I really just do not believe that even without Trump, he could get the nomination. He just has not been around that long for people to know him. He would had to chalked up some wins against McConnell to make a supoer positive opinion about himself.

I would vote for Trump and hope his running mate is Ted Cruz. I don’t feel knowledgable enough to pick cabinet leaders.

I just donated in the three figures. I can’t always so I am happy when I have something to donate.
