A new poll by Pew Research released Friday shows that former Florida Gov. Jeb! Bush (R) may be going the way of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R).
The polling report found that Bushs support among Republican primary voters has withered to a mere 4 percent.
To make matter worse, among the majority of likely GOP voters who consider themselves conservatives, only 2 percent said they would vote for Bush.
Bush fatigue is largely due to the massive change in what the electorate is looking for in a president.
A majority of Republican voters are looking for someone with new ideas over a candidate with experience, 55 to 37 percent.
While this is the only poll that has Bush at such a low level, other national polls show him on a negative trajectory after an initial post-debate bounce.
According to Pew, Donald Trump continues to dominate the Republican field with 25 percent of the vote, followed by Ben Carson with 16 percent. Carly Fiorina is tied with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) at 8 percent.
The poll was conducted by phone interviews with 566 Republican and Republican leaning voters.
Getting close.
¡Ay, caramba!
See post 19.
Bingo. I say it happens this month.
He’s not a fraud. He’s just a moderate. I prefer conservatives.
He’s a fraud. He bbqs dead babies via Stericycle for profit, created Romneycare and is anti gun.
And claimed to be severely conservative.
Thats fraud, and nothing moderate about any of it.
Nah, I want him to eat up more GOPe money first.
The trial baloons have been getting closer to a run by the week. Each has him more and more vocal.
As soon as Jeb is written off, Romney announces. If I’m wrong, Thats GREAT FOE AMERICA! I don’t believe I am.
Point taken. But I believe the dynamic is very different in 2015.
From which current candidates would he draw support?
He might, he might not. The real drop out we want is Hitlery. I got a champagne bottle as does my brother that says “Goodbye Bill and Hitlery”. When she drops out those bottles are being popped. It will finally be the end of the Clinton political holocaust.
It is. But look at the cattle stampede to Trump when half his positions are leftist. Once the GOP starts ads clarifying his less than conservative positions, what then?
History will repeat. Romney will get the nom and all the staunch conservatives will beat their chests and demand the lesser evil of Romney over Hillary or Sanders or any other admitted Democrat just as in 12.
“Please drop out, Jeb. Please.”
Yes, please drop out.
How did a man that had exactly no support outside leftist GOP manage it in 12?
Same same. And this time there is no love for Hillary like for Barry so the left will stay home. thus Romney CAN win.
“I hope he stays in and continues to impoverish any donor so braindead as to give him money”
I agree. I hope he soaks up even more of the Chamber of Corruption money before throwing in the towel.
Poor Jeb. He inherits all the baggage from every hatchet
job ever done on his brother & father. He shouldn’t feel
bad. That’s just POLLYTICKS!!
¡Yeb! won’t be out until all the money is spent.
It’s his turn.
If Trump had not stepped in, he’d be a happy turtle.
I guess punta works ...
1) A point of land extending into a body of water.
2) Rude term for the buttocks, usually female.
Puta is prolly what you meant, no?
I confronted a woman today who was trashing Trump-using the bankruptcy talking points. I asked whom she’d vote for, and her answer was Hillary.
I confronted her with the fact that Hillary kills people. She was unmoved.
