As Carson Stumbles, Trump Slowly Turns the Knife
The Fiscal Times ^ | Nov 8, 15 | Rob Garver

Carsons chief competitor for the Republican presidential nomination at the moment is billionaire former reality television star Donald Trump, who has not been shy about attacking and ridiculing his opponents throughout the campaign.

On Sunday, however, across multiple telephone interviews with talk shows, Trump adopted the tone of a concerned colleague, suggesting that he is genuinely worried about Carson, whom, he said, he has come to consider a friend.

How well do we know the man or where he intends to lead the nation? He is no more his own man, though, than any rich man. When do we get to look at something other than the showman? He reminds me of Nelson Rockefeller, whose breezy style many of us though attractive, or less vividly Wendell Wilkie, another wealthy man with the popular touch. Both men were rather Roseveltian, too.

I have never seen so many supposed conservatives collude with a liberal publication to sink a conservative in a primary.

I was also horrified when I saw the frozen picture on the youtube video of Dr. Carson shaking the hands of the devil Sharpton. Then I listened to the clip.

If you want to see what a nightmare a Carson candidacy would be to the Democrats, just listen to it. He uplifts black people. He makes them self-confident and proud of their history. This is the opposite message of Sharpton who makes sure after Carson’s speech to say that Ben Carson is NOT his choice for President. Well Duh! A Carson presidency would be devastating to a race baiter like Sharpton!

“But I find the image pleasing. It vindicates what I’ve been saying for months on FR, even if I was the only one paying attention to me.”

I’m paying attention now ;) What have you been saying?

This reminds me of the words of the fictional sage, Obi Wan Kenobi, who asked, whose the more foolish, the Fool or the Fool who follows him?

Carson is such a brilliant neurosurgeon that he was able to perform his own lobotomy. What excuse do his disciples have?

Doesn’t look like Carson has made real efforts to qualify for the ballots in key states. He’s not in this for the long haul.

Carson jumped off of the amnesty cliff.

Like the GOPe, a few people are incapable of comprehending how unpopular that suicidal policy is right now, due to the advance of Islam being so blatant the media can’t deflect the issue to secondary status.

Carson isn’t holding the GOPe at bay.
Their lockstep obeisance to the Chamber of Amnesty is.

"What have you been saying?"

I'll spare the details, but essentially Carson is a charlatan with such hubris as to believe he's suited for POTUS.

He's getting by because religious conservatives are enamored with his gentle persona and outspoken belief in God.

the same voters Huckabee got in '08. I respect those voters - good Christians and good conservatives, as a group

Agree that Carson is tapping Huckster's demographic.

However, these Christians are not conservatives...they're social conservatives and economic socialists in many cases. They like sin taxes and wealth redistribution.

Racial token candidate Carson is on the stage for his skin color. Nothing more. Nothing less. A white man with his thin resume would be an asterisk polling under .01 percent.

Hopefully his serial lying and general weirdness will see him to the door soon. Until he's gone, however, we have to hear about his leftwing wishes for Amnesty, Puerto Rico statehood, etc.

Trump wants to restore American greatness...and that restoration is, by definition, based exclusively upon the Eternal Word of the One, Only and Almighty God. There is only one King and that, of course, is Jesus.

Ted Cruz has close ties to the Bushes. He worked on George W. Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign as a domestic policy adviser and served in the Bush administration as associate deputy attorney general in the Justice Department and director of policy planning in the Federal Trade Commission.

The good doctor is now getting the proverbial anal exam from the media. Every embellishment from his biography will get the Microscope treatment. You must remember we never heard of this guy a year ago. His vetting has just begun.

All that said, the good doctor with zero business experience and zero experience running any large institution and zero political office experience, is still better than Marco, Jeb, Carly & Kasich because he is not a DC insider. And he is head and shoulders above Hillary & other democrats.

social liberal and fiscal conservative = libertarian
social conservative and fiscal liberal = nightmare

The nightmares take taxpayer money and funnel it into religious endeavors. Like Dubya did.

If that gets you to vote for Trump, excellent.
I don’t want the KJV of the Constitution, though.

True and tested longtime Conservative Cruz is saving his firepower for Trump. Yep. Powder dry. Lying in wait.

It's gonna be a beautiful thing.
