Sen. Cory Gardner: Trump Has “Diminishing Future,” Will Keep Losing Delegates
BuzzFeed News ^ | April 11, 2016 | Andrew Kaczynski

Republican Sen. Cory Gardner says Donald Trump has a “diminishing future” after his loss to Ted Cruz in Wisconsin’s primary last week.

The Colorado senator was asked on the Kelley and Kafer show Friday about Trump’s former adviser, Roger Stone, threatening to publicize the hotel rooms of Republican convention delegates who don’t support Trump.

“It sounds like to me like a consultant, a political consultant who has a candidate that is kind of wits end because they see a diminishing future, and I think you can see that turning point in Wisconsin as somebody else has caught momentum,” Gardner said. “Ted Cruz caught the momentum in Wisconsin that I think that Donald Trump thought was his and his alone. I detect quite a bit of panic in the voice and the comments made by Roger Stone.”

Gardner said Trump’s recent losses were not the result of some conspiracy, but rather voters were turning against him.

“I think what we’ve seen in Wisconsin, what we are going to see going forward is, I think, more and more people realize that Donald Trump is not their choice to carry the Republican values forward, and that’s why he’s going to continue to lose delegates,” Gardner said. “He’s going to continue to lose delegates in Colorado. It has nothing to do with somebody’s conspiracy over who’s meeting with whom, and it has everything to do with the messages and the principles of the candidate.”

The only good thing I can say about Cory Gardner is he’s not Mark Udall. He’s basically a worthless, milquetoast, go-along-to-get-along type.

Just like the voters turned against him in Colorado says the senator from Colorado.

and each pathetic NE smear and accusation draws more attention to the emerging fear and outright panic in their organization.

As witnessed here, the wails of "propaganda! Lies! it cant be true!" are testimony to the angst.

So, he's supposed to be quiet about the lying and cheating and pretend he doesn't see it, while the will of the people is thwarted in order to make sure another insider establishmentarian is installed in the presidency?

Evil and corruption left unexposed is free to fester and grow. So I, for one, am glad that Trump and his supporters are speaking up.

Cruz: nothing but another slick speaking lawyer. He has no clue what the real world is like.

I remember how GA Jimmuh kept losing numerous primaries after PA, I believe it was, but his early lead still held up. People in GA were so thrilled, but Lester G. Maddox said Carter was the “most dishonest man I ever met.”

while the will of 37 percent of the people is thwarted

I remember when Mitt had only gotten 45 percent of the total primary vote and many here were OUTRAGED! that he was approaching a lock for the nomination.

When the people see that their chosen candidate is not winning, they will generally gravitate towards the front runner. But that is only if they see that the election has been conducted in a fair manner.

The dynamics are different this time around. In this case, the second runner is using all kinds of shady deals to try to take out the front runner. I don’t think people will naturally gravitate towards him if he succeeds in using underhanded tactics to take out Trump—because most people care about honesty and fairness.

Cruz is doing what he can to guarantee a Hillary or Bernie presidency.

Actually, Trump is caught in a no win situation with the corrupt and dishonest GOPe!!

Trump won the delegates based on the rules.
Now, the GOPe, using Cruz as a trojan horse, changes the rules to steal Trump delegates!

Trump could fund a ground game and fight back!
But, the GOPe, using PAC money in. unprecedented ways, simply changes the rules once again!!!

Easy peasy for the sleazy GOPe

Trump could fund a ground game and fight back!

I've seen Cruzers complain that Trump should have put up more money, and then he wouldn't be losing delegates to Trump. This makes no sense in terms of the word "fair," and it makes no sense to anyone who claims to be Conservative. Since when do Conservatives argue that Government (and that's what politicians are) should spend more money? As Conservatives, we should ALL be arguing for spending less money, on all things Government, including the entire election process. It should not take $1 BILLION to win an election. And for Cruzers to argue that Trump should spend more to get more delegates, let's not forget that Jeb Bush had $150 million, and Jeb got zero delegates, so money isn't always the solution to EARNING delegates.

Additionally, why should any candidate have to "fund a ground game to fight back" (i.e., BUY DELEGATES), when the candidate is winning at the ballot box, with votes from actual PEOPLE of this country, who are voting for their candidate? These elections should not be about BRIBING delegates - party insiders - they should be about WINNING votes from We, The People, of these United States. The mere fact that it is LEGAL to BRIBE delegates makes me sick. The only people who aren't troubled by that are the people who have something to gain from it. And a good portion (but not all) of the people who are against Trump are in on the game, and they don't want Trump pointing out how CROOKED the system is... the bribery, the coercion, the quid pro quo, the rigging of the system against We, The People, the collusion, and the biggest prize of all, the continued money train once they are elected into office, and continuing after they leave office.

Trump is exposing all of this, and they are shooting the Messenger, rather than ending the corruption. See tag line.

Exactly!

There is a Big Steal going on by the GOP establishment and Cruz.

The propaganda being put out these days is to normalize the situation and try to diminish Trump in any way so that they can go forward with the Big Steal. They are trying to get all this to be acceptable and normal to the American people and it is NOT.

We have to continue to point it out for what it is. Propaganda is a powerful tool as you can see so many Cruz supporters have fallen for it.

It’s been an effective tool of the lefties for forty years.

Sooner or later it was bound to happen to ppl on “our” side.

Trying to “normalize” things is a good way of putting it.

What we know is that Trump is by far the more popular candidate, and Cruz does not have nearly the support he likes to pretend.

But we allow his team to troll Trump (and us!), spreading propaganda 24/7. They’re filthy —! Despicable. I saw a cartoon today depicting Cruz supporters as Muslim terrorists at a caucus site—surrounding a Trump delegate. They were getting ready to cut off his head if he didn’t agree to vote for Cruz.

Sad commentary on how Cruz’s ppl are perceived, isn’t it?

....and about that cartoon showing Cruz ppl in such a negative way —

What does that say about Cruz supporters, that society is perceiving them as now so deranged & willing to win at all costs, we’re making cartoons showing how they’d cut somebody’s head off in the name of Cruz (their allah!) if that’s what had to be done.

So true!

Oh wow, I hadn’t seen that cartoon yet. Yeah that is bad but it does emphasize how extreme fanatics many of the Cruz supporters have become.
