I’m now somewhat ambivalent towards Bush Sr.
Always respected him groeing up and in his service as VP and President. I also supported GW Bush in his Presidency and policies.
When the recent JFK files were released, there was a lot of evidence pointing fingers at his guilt. Then some of his presentations where he referenced the JFK “patsy” and smirked. Then there were his illuminati referenced “thousand points of light” speech, which tend to telegraph his more true character. More recently, when he publicly declared his loyalty to Hillary Clinton for her run for President, I believed he did more to reflect a true lack of ethic.
When Dole saluted his casket, did anybody else catch it was a left handed salute?
Maybe it’s all in a true nature of love for one’s fellow man, and forgiveness of enemies. Then again, maybe WYSIWYG.
Thank you for the link. This does not surprise me in the least. The First Lady and our President are gracious and kind. Of course they would reach out to the Bush family in their grief.
I’m sorry now that I opened it. The article begins with snark at our First Lady and perpetuates their theme throughout. Damn these ignorant writers.
“When Dole saluted his casket, did anybody else catch it was a left handed salute?”
That’s because his right arm was shot to hell in Italy during WWII
Senor el Jebbo finally makes it to the White House.
It was a left handed salute because he lost all use of his right arm fighting for our freedom in WWII.
You really need to examine your premise before commenting.
Trump emasculated their favorite son over and over. The Bush anger is understandable. You can’t name call and insult people over and over and then expect their support and respect. At least they didn’t pull a McCain.
He lost the use of his right hand in WWII. Do you feel bettet now?
The Trumps are a class act in every way, and note tagline. They were absolutely right to show such respect toward President Bush and his family, but that is highly characteristic of the President Trump and his family.
Let's hope the Bushes can rise to their level.
Yes, it is understandable that the Bushes would be furious with Trump for his victory over their second son, but that's politics. Their behavior toward President Trump and his family and their insult to the American People are inexcusable.
A profound apology to President Trump, to Mrs. Trump, to the entire Trump Family, and to the American People is definitely in order.
It's true that it would benefit the USA and the American People if they would kiss and make up.
For one thing, the Bushes could help bring the Republican Establishment into the Trump Revolution.
For another: There could still be a place in Republican politics, for George Prescott Bush, for example, if the Bushes would join the Trump Revolution. During the 2016 election campaign, he repeatedly expressed admiration for President Trump.
he should offer a branch before the next election It might bring more rhinos into the flock
I didn’t know that.
and no, I don’t feel any better now.
Bush still came out for Hillary and pro-Illuminati in flagrant positions.
He wasn’t ethical.
Until those things came to light, I had always admired him and his reputation. Now they all are cast in doubt of any veracity.
It wans’t the victory it was the insults.

**********
For a reason beyond his control. WWII results....
Essentially, Mr. Dole has no right shoulder, his arm having been tethered to
where his shoulder was with muscle from his thigh. His right arm is about
two-and-half inches shorter than his left, and all his shirts and coats are cut
accordingly. He has no feeling down his right arm, all the way to his hand.
The subject is these men’s service in WWII, which you already flubbed. Dole was wounded and Bush Sr was 17 when he joined and was shot down in action crashing into the Pacfic. I think that that alone earned them some respect.
Bob Dole sustained a crippling injury to his right arm during WWII. He shakes hands left handed. Always had a pen gripped in his right.
I’m not sure if this is standard protocol from all sitting Presidents, but when my father passed away in 1990, my mother received a signed and framed letter commemorating and thanking him for his service to his country from GHWB. He was retired ARMY and served from 1939-1963.
Doesn’t bother me.
Doesn’t change how I feel about the old man.
