A little 1 minute quiz I found while trolling around on a lefty site.
Take the quiz yourself and see if you can beat my score of 20!
Admitedly, I'm vulnerable in the mobility category, but I'm going to see if I can't eat meat at every meal to up my food score.

I for one, am proud of how many people I put to work through my consumption. It's my little part in the war on poverty. Owl_Eagle

12.9 Planets.
Maybe I should ask EarthDayNetwork to pay my salary so I can stay home instead of driving to work.

They're trying to slide a lot of hidden assumptions past the reader. How true! If you reverse engineer their 4.5 biologically productive acres per person in the world, you will find they have calculated or assumed that only 19% of the world's surface is biologically productive. They ignore the oceans and seas: at latest report some of the most biologically productive places on Earth. Add these water areas to the 19% and the total jumps to around 80%. Sorry, but multiple planet users are going to have to give up three-quarters of their leases. ;>)

Mine was fourteen, including the family of four in the equation. If my husband calculated his, he would probably double mine.

Am I missing something on this thread??? No. What you see is what they use.
We can all do a better job of not wasting and yes, that means the environment, too. BUT, I won't give up meat.
Agreed. Grazing is a good thing. We need more of it. My bet is that the numbers the thugs use on that one are wildly distorted.
How'd ya like me new tag line?

I did it twice. The first time I filled it out truthfully, saying I lived in the USA and it told me we'd need 4.4 planets if everyone lived like me.
Then, I filled everything out the same except that I said that I lived in Nigeria. It then told me that we'd need only 1.4 planets!
Nice propaganda tool. Persuade everyone that the USA is the problem.

At that rate, the planet should have been exhausted sometime around the birth of Christ.
Looks like the environazis got it wrong again.

IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 4.4 PLANETS. If everyone lived like you, and if people worldwide were oppressed by communism and islam cults, we would need 4.4 planets.
If everyone lived like you, and if people everywhere were free to MEET your demands, everyone would live like you.

Wow, this really shows what a poor "quiz" this is. The lovely and gracious Marie Antoinette and I live VERY frugally, I drive a 40 MPH honda, we use a low water toilet, florecent bulbs that use 1/6th the electricity, cloth diapers, etc. etc. etc.
However I drive two hours to school, for aviation, so I fly more than 100 hours/year in a cessna, and put nearly 800 miles/week on my car. I live in a big house with my big family.
My results:
Food 5.9
Mobility 11.1
shelter 4.9
goods services 14.6
TOTAL FOOTPRINT 36!
If everyone lived like me 8.2 planets!
What crap. I figured to be below the average.

I use 15 acres, which I happen to own. That's 3.3 planets and can title to the extra 2.3 planets be transferred to me expeditiously? Mars shouldn't count as a whole planet because it is so small, so I will need Venus, Mars, and enough moons and asteroids to equal another full planet.
