FREE REPUBLIC'S PATRIOTIC TABLE AT TERRI SCHINDLER-SCHIAVO'S 40th BIRTHDAY FREE REPUBLIC'S TABLE
Conservative-Spirit.Org | December 5, 2003 | floriduh voter

Posted on 12/05/2003 10:50:39 AM PST by floriduh voter

I arrived at Hospice Woodside Wednesday afternoon at about 4:15 p.m. I waited for a deluxe table to accommodate the lovely floral arrangement for the Schindler Family from freeper gwb and gop man, also on behalf of talk radio in Savannah, Ga and floriduh voter.

The flowers arrived before gwb and gop man and I drove them to Hospice Woodside with other decorations for Free Republic's table #8.

Freepers, the theme for our table went back to the founding fathers. Printed artwork from Dover Publications was of lady liberty standing side by side with an eagle, a town crier crying "Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Terri's forty!", and another eagle with a banner with "Protection" on it.

In addition, the donation cup on Free Republic's table consisted of a flag, a small gavel taped onto it and hanging on by a twist tie, my Daniel Webster beanie baby. Daniel just happened to be carrying a cloth book entited "LAW". Daniel Webster made some cash for the Foundation.

I brought a large crystal drum of the fife and drum variety filled with peppermints and butter rum candies.

I brought my Photo Album that documented October 13th. In addition, thanks to another freeper, I printed out a 17 page list of all the threads that were posted for Terri at Free Republic through November 18, 2003. I put Free Republic's Logo in a stand up picture frame and also wore my name tag from the Friva Conference held in Las Vegas in August of 2001.

There were also pewter battery-type candles on our table by the floral arrangement of white roses, iris's, stattis, baby's breath, day lilies, etc. All of the above came together on a long table that I held out for.

Please bookmark this thread and hopefully, when other freepers in attendance and myself get our film developed, we could put our jpegs in one location. Please excuse all the "I"s but this is my account from a freeper's perspective. Unfortunately, Buffy the chicken was not in attendance. If you'd like to see her picture again, let me know.

There is definitely a resemblance between King and Boss Hogg. No question about it. All that is missing is the cheesy white polyester suit, hat and cigar.

Nice observation there Byron.

I agree on this right to death with dignity. I would like to see a independent doctor examine her and pronounce her chances of recovery. And if theren't any chances of recovery...then let her die with dignity. There are too many confused people out there with agendas....attempting to fit Terri into their agenda.

I agree. There are too many confused people who aren't even from Pinellas County who don't know the entire case. In fact, some are a little late to the party if you know what I mean.

Terri understands jokes and likes to listen to music. She ignores Michael S. when he enters the room. She responds to all of her family members and not surprisingly, she doesn't trust strangers. They've tried to kill her more than once. She wants to live and she knows they've tried to kill her.

I drink Coca Cola with no ice.

Felos recently stated that "Jeb Bush would have his day of reckoning." Can you imagine that? Felos is right up there with the great criminal minds of our time IMO. Criminals always think they're right.

Who will decide which doctor qualifies as an "independent doctor?"

Perhaps you feel Dr. Jack Kevorkian is an "independent doctor?" Maybe "Dr. Death" should decide Terri's fate?

Right?

WRONG, BONEHEAD!

Now go sit in the virtual corner like a good little dunce!

I would like to see a independent doctor examine her ...

Here's part of the problem with that. There already was an "independent doctor" appointed to examine her, by Judge Greer. He was the "swing vote." MS's 2 doctors against Terri's parents' 2 doctors. So the "swing vote" doctor is who made the "independent" decision that Terri couldn't recover. Guess what? That "independent" doctor is the son of a friend of Felos. So, how independent did Greer's doc turn out? And how likely is it that Greer "didn't know" that the "independent doc" HE appointed was friends of Felos? Unlikely, that.

Excellent point, nicmarlo! I'm afraid that you are making TOO MUCH SENSE to these shameful pro-death liberals that want Michael Schiavo to starve Terri to death.

They (pro-kill Terri, pro-death advocates) are just elitists who think anyone THEY deem inferior is unworthy to live.

THAT IS IT, BOTTOM LINE!

They are the modern day nazis! They call US nazis and WE advocate saving lives and not killing them (disabled and unborn)...They (liberals) make no sense whatsoever.

Oh, they (liberals) are most definitely PRO-LIFE for the convicted serial murderer. They (liberals, mostly Democrats) are definitely PRO-LIFE for Saddam Hussein! But, people like Terri?

"Who would want to live like that!?" they (pro-death advocates) say...

Lead by example you sickening, sick, sicko, psycho, psychotic, freakish, freaks (Felos, M Schaivo, Greer, pepsionice, Whiz on the People)!

This is stunning. I emailed the link to fight4terri because in the "Blair" case, Greer ruled against the wife who stated that her husband was responsive. He ignored the wife but he gives Michael carte blanche?

Further, note that Sheriff Rice told the AP that Greer deserves a medal re: Terri's case.

EXCERPT ONLY. From the Miami Herald - 10-25-03,Vicki Cacheres AP: The Schiavo case is not the only time Greer has been faced with the issue of removing a feeding tube from a vegetative patient. In 2000, the wife and grown children of St. Petersburg attorney Blair Clark faced off in Greer's courtroom after Clark collapsed from a heart attack.

Clark had a living will which said he did not want a feeding tube or respirator if he was determined to be in a permanent vegetative state. But his Chinese-born wife - who disputed her husband was vegetative and believed he could hear her - wanted to try acupuncture and medical techniques from her homeland.

Greer allowed an acupuncturist to administer a treatment session, and then granted Clark's children permission to withdraw their father's feeding tube. Clark's wife did not appeal the decision.

Clark died within days of the tube's removal.

"He was sympathetic and empathetic to the fact that we had somebody who in her culture believed in these alternative methods," said Doug Williamson, who represented the Clark children.

William Mayhew, who represented Clark's wife Ping, said he too believes Greer simply followed the law.

"Many judges would have figured out a way to dump (the Schiavo) case," said Pinellas County Sheriff Everett Rice, Greer's friend for more than 20 years. "But he stuck by it. He deserves a medal for enduring that alone."

FV SAYS: WE DIDN'T GET THIS ARTICLE IN TAMPA BAY. Wonder why? Sounds like Greer was trying to rehab his reputation statewide in October of 2003.
