Can someone fill this casual football watcher in on the Super Bowl history of these two teams?

From the commercial teasers I've seen, also....

"Millions spent on stupid, tired ideas by the ad industry"

I just hope it's a good game.

My prediction: Pats: 31 Cats: 20

Go Mike Vrabel!!!!!!!!

I won a pool with the 9rs/Chargers and that was a 9/6 finish. The first time I ever rooted for the 9ers to run up the score. :-)

It's kind of cloudy right now, with brief bits of sunshine. Tagliabue is a woose. It's not raining and it's not cold.

First Super Bowl for Carolina, who has been in the league only about 10 years.

New England Lost to Chicago 46-10 in 1986 and Defeated St.Louis 20-17 2 years ago.

I can't go watch the game at my favorite bar in Albuquerque:

The French-looking Lurch Kerry will be there at a meet and greet with his sycophants.

Sucks... I have personal reasons to dislike him now.

Eek. That'd be the only reason I'd close the roof. Nothing like a lightning strike to ruins one's day.

Will have to update husband on what happens today, as he'll be a few hundred feet underwater somewhere (I don't even have a clue where) at game time.
