Hume doesn't deserve the award because he practices "ideologically connected journalism."Unlike the America haters on ABCCBCNBCCNNMSNBC can't even bring themselves to SAY "President Bush"?

This woman's response makes it clear that she only wants to serve on a board that awards liberals. She had no business serving on a board that is supposed to honor journalism, which by it's very nature is supposed to befair and balanced.

But Geneva Overholser told USA Today Hume doesn't deserve the award because he practices "ideologically connected journalism."
*snort*
And how many OTHER journalists have practiced "ideologically connected journalism" and gotten higher awards for their BIAS and outright LIES?
Hume hasn't done a Jayson Blair or BBC.

Far-lefties except for Brian Lamb who leans left but isn't as obnoxious.

I say frig her and all the other looney leftists that delude themselves into thinking that they are not leftists. Any view held by the left is squarely objective through their deceitful blindfolds. Any view not of their immoral and communist/socialist ilk is partisan. Bull shi*.

But Geneva Overholser, formerly ombudsman at the Washington Post and currently a professor of journalism at the University of Missouri, told USA Today Hume doesn't deserve the award because he practices "ideologically connected journalism." "Ideologically connected journalism": Geneva Overholser, meet Ambrose Bierce. He'd design a suitably scornful Devil's Dictionary entry for your disingenuous phrase.
To make her point, Overholser resigned from the NPF board, saying: "Fox wants to do news from a certain viewpoint, but it wants to claim that it is 'fair and balanced.' That is inaccurate and unfair to other media who engage in a quest, perhaps an imperfect quest, for objectivity."
God help the poor U of Missouri journalists who have to listen to this sanctimonious twaddle in a class from Overholser.

Gartner bought a newspaper in Ames, Iowa. Somebody said the Iowa State Daily prints more newspapers than Gartner's rag does.

"A certain viewpoint" - hah . . . Liberals have become so conditioned to avoiding calling themselves by name that now they don't even dare call conservatives by name! Bring it on you liberals - we love being called conservatives! We are not ashamed!
