Yes it makes me happy. That poll just drew the line in the FR sand. No more phony crap about being the "base". This is the same "base" that voted Perot in 1992 or stayed at home, Voted Perot again or stayed at home in 1996 and voted PJB, Harry Browne, Howard Phillips or just sat on their lazy butts in 2000 and now the same 20% is going to do it again. This is nothing new and it is not anything the GOP can change because that 20% has a price so high the party can never pay it.

I do indeed think that the bashing on FR is counterproductive.

That includes the Bush-bashing, conservative-bashing and the bashing of the very strong Bush supporters.

Everyone is getting bashed lately.

I am a very strong Bush supporter and I get bashed plenty when I make points in support of President Bush.

You are absolutely right that the bashing is counterproductive, but everyone needs to realize that and we need to turn to logical discussions, instead of arguing constantly.
