Why do I have to log in every time?

OK, I'm doing something wrong here. Why do I have to log in again evertime. I've chosen the "most convenient" option which supposedly saves my log in info on this computer but everytime I close my browser I have to log in again. It's annoying. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Lose your cookies and try again.
You might also lose your temporary internet files.
Couldn't hurt.

LOL..... well stop logging out when you leave... that should do it...
Seriously, I don't know. John has changed some of the Cookie requirements during the problem a couple of days ago and it still maybe related to that. He had set them to expire after 24 hrs or some such thing.
I was having just the opposite problem as I couldn't log out. It would tell me I had logged out but when I came back I was still logged in. I like to log out completely each day and I finally had to go and delete the cookies to get logged out. That has now corrected itself and I can log out without having to delete the cookie.

When was the last time you were on FR? Over the weekend there was a little construction and even I, of all people, had to log back in.
It's probably nothing series, or hugh.

Thanks. At least one poster here (you) is trying to help. The rest of the clowns here can have some fun with the lame "are you logged in" jokes. Just remember, all your base are belong to me!

You've got a setting somewhere in some program to delete cookies.

I downloaded the google tool bar the other day to get the pop up blocker. Don't know if it deletes cookies. I'll check and see if I can catch it with it's hand in the cookie jar.

John changed the set up as I understand it during the work around when the .com address wasn't working.
Try contacting him via Freep Mail ..... That's what I did or maybe the ping to the thread will get his attention.

I'm having a different problem. Since the DNS meltdown, I now have to disable ALL cookie blocking in my Zone Alarm. Before the meltdown I could have it set on medium which blocks cookies from tracking sites, but allows cookies for personalized services on a single web site.
The general message I get when my cookie control is set as described says that I am not accepting the FOCUS cookie to log me in.
The .info site does not restrict me is such a way.
Please Explain
