Operation Infinite FReep: Colo. Double FReep, Support Our Troops Rally, 5/22/04

Colorado FReepers split up today and did a double FReep of the leftists in Fort Collins, and Greeley........

For some reason the "Greeley Greens" were a no show, so we had a Support Our Troops Rally totally leftist free! The Fort Collins FReepers got the duty of counter protesting the "old hippies" that hang on the corner of Drake and Lemay.

FReepers weldgopharline, Fire Engine Red, and I heard about the leftist Greeley Greens from the local paper. They had a rally on the corner last week to protest everything. We figured they would be back so we got a permit and took the corner. They did not show so we had a Support Our Troops Rally instead (I so wanted to pull my anti-Green Party signs out of the truck,"DRILL A.N.W.R." and "GOD BLESS CAPITALISM").

We had a wonderful time and so did all those thousands of cars driving by and blowing thier horns. Fire Engine Red was moving about from corner to corner, waving and yelling and getting tons and tons of honking. It was really fun to see the SUPPORT for our troops out there.

I did have one Al Queda supporter yell something to me as he was making a left turn. I don't even dare repeat what he said here on FR, but I did yell back "Leftist Scum" to him as he left.

The weather rapidly deteriorated on us as at the Greeley "honk-a-thon". The wind almost took me out several times with my 4 x 8 sign. I did see Fire Engine Red chasing a few signs, LOL!, but when the rain started we called it a job well done and headed off.

FReepers fivetoes and CardCarryingMemberVastRightWC had the dirty work in Fort Collins, and the only word I have so far is that there were six leftists for them to FReep. Pictures will be up as soon as CCMVRWC can get to them. I am sure they did us all proud, I think I could hear some honking in the distance...........

I bet I can guess, we get some of the same thing here in Fresno! Sometimes the most obscene remarks and gestures come from sweet looking little old ladies with blue rinses in their hair! :-)

FORT COLLINS FREEP

What a great day to support our brave troops! Beautiful, cool weather in Fort Collins. Of course, ANY day is a great day to show support for the people who are daily laying down their lives for us. It was just Fivetoes and I alone, facing off against six beings who sadly have been assimilated by the dreaded LiberaBorg.

It was so cool that I wore a windbreaker to a Freep for the first time in maybe 6 weeks. For the first 10 or 15 minutes, there were these drops of water falling on us from the sky. Naturally I assumed there was a maladjusted lawn sprinkler nearby, but Fivetoes said no - he told me it's something called "rain". He says he's lived in other states besides Colorado, and that this phenomenon is quite common there. Sort of like warm snow I guess. Weird, eh??? (But why the heck is stuff like this occurring in Colorado?)

I was really grateful to have FiveToes come up from Loveland to give me some company. Thanks! I was going hoarse today from calling out, "Thank You!" to each passing car that honked for our troops. And hoarse from having to yell to FiveToes so we could hear each other over the sound of the horns. Thank you citizens of Fort Collins for once again demonstrating your overwhelming support for our troops! If there were any honks for the other side, I didn't hear them. The Leftists' heros might be TeddyK and Pelosi and a press that's pathologically fixated on Abu Ghraib, but we dang well know who OUR heros are!!!

Fivetoes is a natural born comedian who kept me in stitches as usual. One woman waiting for a turn arrow called out, "Give Peace A Chance" as she pulled away. Fivetoes said, "You'll look GREAT in a Burqa! ........ Of course, you'll be forbidden to drive any more!"
ROFLMAO!!

The only other negative incident (for our side) was a car with 2 young guys stopped at a light. First, the driver yelled angrily at the other side. But then he stopped and his passenger started yelling at OUR side, over and over again "F**k Bush! I Hate Bush! F**k Bush! ...." I was tempted to respond, "I wouldn't try that if I were you! You'd never be satisfied with your dog again!" But as he apparently had only a 3 or 4 word vocabulary, there didn't seem to be any possibility of meaningful communication here. Perhaps they are merely the kind of punks who get their jollies screaming at ANYONE near the road - pedestrians, shoppers, etc.

You can see in my photo the great care (NOT!) with which they draped a flag over the fence. It later fell mostly to the ground and remained in that state for some time until one of them dragged it along the sidewalk to a new location. I suppose we should consider this as an improvement though, since at least they now have a real American flag with them - something we didn't see on their side for sometimes months at a time. When they did fly flags, they were of the "Earth Mother" variety, or bastardized American flags with peace symbols or other unidentifiable symbols in place of the stars. (Or hanging from some jerk's butt onto the ground).

We got in a few "GOD BLESS PRESIDENT BUSH AND OUR TROOPS!" yells when the LiberoBorgs could easily hear us. Below are my two photos - one of the Leftists and their carelessly discarded flag. Then one of FiveToes. I haven't seen FiveToes' photos yet.

Wow! What can I say. I sure have missed Freeping the lefties. I have completed my Saturday noon obligation and look forward to Freeping again. It just seems like we are taking advantage of the mentally challenged. 8-)

Here is a good photo of CardCarryingMember.VastRightWC. His sign is quite sturdy and could possibly double as a shield if attacked by the lefties.

The other picture I took was a picture of abuse of the flag of the United States of America. The lefties were late as usual. The first one there was the being that enjoys sitting in the median. He made at least three, maybe four trips past us to haul his gear from the parking lot to the his little triangle of the world.

About half way through the the hour one of them, I think it was the avowed communist brought an American flag over, still in the box. I think he must have thought it would get them some honks. What it did get them was what I call anti-honks. That is the deafening silence that sorta sucks the sound out of the area where you are at. It is like negative sound. I really can't explain any better than that.

Anyway, the wind eventually upturned their flag and rendered it disrepectful, unbeknownst to them. My first reaction was to as I hope any veteran's would be was to go over and clean their clocks and play capture the flag. By the time I got the picture, the avowed communist of all people noticed the flag and went over to retrieve it. I tried to get a picture of hime holding the flag with it dragging on the ground, but I wasn't quite quick enough.

He brought the flag over to the rest of the pack and I made some quip to Larry about how they were drawing straws to see who would have to hold the flag. "You hold it", "I don't want to hold it, you hold it, you brought it" LOL

I will have to say this for the lefties, they sure have picked a very pleasant intersection to protest from. Why it is very lush and green. You hardly know you are in the city except for the steady stream of cars. I suppose they will be asked to leave soon because we followed them and since FreeRepublic showed up, the serenity of the area has been disturbed by the constant sound of horns blaring away in Suppory of Our Troops.

Hi fivetoes! Nice to see you out there. Isn't it a beatiful corner to FReep from, we have nice grass to stand on and the lefties get to stand on the sidewalk against the iron fence.

It wasn't all that long ago in our country where treating the flag the way they do would get you total public condemnation. We still have a culture war to fight.
