Bash America filmmaker Michael Moore is about to unleash an attack on the U.S. Military, the heroic men and women of the Armed Forces and our Commander-In-Chief via his film Fahrenheit 9/11.
Inexplicably, more than 1,000 theaters have indicated they will proudly broadcast what The Guardian calls an anti-war/anti-Bush film beginning June 25th. And the number keeps growing each day. The goal of the film is abundantly clear: to undermine the war on terrorism.
Moore has said the following about the film:
Half the movie is about Iraq we were able to get film crews embedded with American troops without them knowing it was Michael Moore. They are totally f***ed.
After it was pre-screened, one Blame American First viewer cried, It made me wanna burn my passport.
Apparently there are dollar signs in their eyes too.
Michael Moore and his anti-American film distributors are hoping to cash in to the tune of millions of dollars and also change U.S. politics. One British paper noted that Moore hopes that it will bring down the U.S. government.
So why are mainstream movie theaters involved in promoting a political advertisement that defames our military, insults our troops and attempts to undermine the publics support for the War on Terror?
Why are movie theaters showing political propaganda that should be governed by Federal Elections Commission regulations on campaign finance?

The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not insurgents or terrorists or The Enemy. They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow and they will win.
-- Michael Moore in his message posted on his website, April 14, 2004
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fahrenheit 9/11 was described as incredibly superficial and misleading treatment at times.
-- Lou Lumenick, New York Post
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its representative of the fact that Michael Moore doesnt always give the whole story and hes a master of the misleading.
-- Congressman Mark Kennedy (Minnesota)

From the British newspaper, The Guardian:
Moore was unequivocal about his desire to do everything in his power to help oust President George Bush in this Novembers elections.
We thought, We cannot leave this to the Democrats this time to f**k it up and lose.
[Responding to reports that some in the Disney Corporation found the movie unacceptably political and would not therefore distribute the film, Moore said]:
I wont let that happen and neither will Harvey Weinstein. People will see this film by hook or crook. I will get this out if it means breaking the law or committing an act of civil disobedience.

Moore has already defamed the passengers who were on board the airplanes hijacked on September 11th:
The kind of people who fly in airplanes want someone else to clean up their mess; thats why they let hijackers take the plane.
The passengers on September 11 were scaredy-cats, because they were mostly white.

With Moore's customary blend of humor and horror, "Fahrenheit 9/11" accuses the Bush camp of stealing the 2000 election, overlooking terrorism warnings before September 11 and fanning fears of more attacks to secure Americans' support for the Iraq war.
-- From the cable television network, CNN

During the presidential primaries, Michael Moore referred to George W. Bush as, among other things, a "deserter.
Even ABC's Peter Jennings hardly a fan of President Bush condemned Moores characterization of Bush as a deserter. "Thats a reckless charge not supported by the facts.
To those who say ignore it ... let me ask you something.
Did the same tactic work when CBS was going to show that Reagan-bashing movie?
Did "ignore it and it will go away" work then?
Frankly, I think it's time conservatives stopped acting like such pansies and start to push back against these liars and distorters of truth. We have been TOO nice for TOO long! Michael Moore can make his money from the DVD sales of this piece of trash but I doubt that anyone will take what this loser has to say serious because HE IS SO NEGATIVE!
Thankfully, in my city, there is only ONE theater currently (and I know that could change) that's playing this filth and it's a theater I wouldn't waste money at anyway. It's one of those small ones where you'd expect left-wing nonsense to play.
Why are movie theaters showing political propaganda that should be governed by Federal Elections Commission regulations on campaign finance?
For the money. America be damned is their cry.
Just stop doing business with Hollywood altogether.
There is an easier solution to all of this.
Increased exposure to Michael Moore's intention to undermine the war on terrorism and the fact that this film has backing from the terrorist group Hezbollah does not serve Mr. Moore well.
And Americans who find the above two points I just posted offensive need to point that out to theater owners as they are the customers of the theaters. Moore has a right to free speech. The theaters have the right to freely decide what to show... but we have an important right as consumers to voice our opinions to those theaters.
Unlike the Passion of the Christ (where having more attention to a movie about the death and resurrection of Christ is intriguing to a largely Christian nation), being made more aware of a film which is a political commercial and which hurts the war on terrorism makes one who is not already on MoveOn.org's list (who were going to see the movie no matter what) LESS inclined to see it.
My own opinion, I respect the fact that you disagree and that you wish Mr. Moore's lies and propaganda do not receive an inordinate amount of $$$ at the box office. On that part we both agree :)
Moore and his associates had boasted that more than 1,000 theaters were going to pick up the film.
However, after movie theaters discovered what the movie was all about (as more scrutiny was focused on the movie) they kept retreating from that number. First to "around 1,000" then as many as 700, then "at least 500."
However, as of today they've had a hard time reaching the 500 mark and are short of it.
I'm thinking maybe FAXing the Hezbollah stories to theaters who are indicating they are inclined to show the movie with a note asking 'how on earth do you consider this appropriate fare to show to the public when even Hezbollah sees it as propaganda that helps their cause?' would be effective.
Thanks for the ping!
Yep - thanks for making that Passion point. I work for Howard (did on his Senate campaign to) and I think I need to raise this point tomorrow - that we have to respond to that spin with the press to indicate why a movie about Jesus Christ would attract national appreciation whereas a movie that seeks to undermine the war on terrorism and is being backed by terrorist groups wouldn't attract national appreciation.
I disagree with your premise (but already posted my reasons for disagreeing) in the posts above. I see you and I don't see eye-to-eye but ask that you at least consider the points made. Thanks!
But surely those outside of the RNC and WH can expose Moore for what he is. This is a guy who does not fare well when the light of exposure shines on him. He smeared the passengers of the 9/11 flights for being scaredy cats who allowed the planes to be hijacked. He cheers on the Iraqi resistance. His film is being backed by Hezbollah.
If we can't summon the energy to take a bullhorn and make these points heard loud and clear in the public square then we cannot win any debate.
When conservatives are on TV/radio with liberals in the media or Hollywood gushing about Moore and his great film or his "right" to make the film (yes he has the right, that does not make its content disgusting) we must not back down an inch from shaming and condemning them.
John Kerry's poll numbers plunged when he was exposed as a flip-flopping weanie with no vision. The American public could get that. Surely Michael Moore is apt to be exposed as 100 times more destructive a force for America than John Kerry.
If I watch any movies over the next couple of months, I will go to a theatre that is not playing MM's propoganda.
Draw the point that Hezbollah is partnering to support the film..= Theaters in bed with Hezbollah plans...
Thanks, Tonk. I can't believe Fox news said this (from your link)
"F9/11" gets to audiences beyond screenings, it won't be dependent on celebrities for approbation. It turns out to be a really brilliant piece of work, and a film that members of all political parties should see without fail.
As much as some might try to marginalize this film as a screed against President George Bush, "F9/11" as we saw last night is a tribute to patriotism, to the American sense of duty"
Unreal reading that at Fox News. Sounds more like the rest of 'em!! I actually rely on that cable fox news for the real truth. Just can't believe it.
My personal opinion about Michael Moore and his drivel is neither here nor there. I wouldn't spend one cent to see his crap. Even though I do try to keep up on what's the other side is doing. Just to be informed what they're up to, lol. For instance, did watch his Bowling for Columbine POS, but only once it came to network.
I'm still at a loss about Fox News reporting this, unless!!! They are living up to the Fair and Balanced aspect, LOL. Now that I think about it a minute; that's gotta be it, eh?
