Non è più un fronte costituito esclusivamente da arabi o musulmani. Al Qaeda può contare ormai sui militanti di una rete parallela che vede la guerra contro gli occidentali in Iraq come il punto più avanzato (...) ( segue a pagina 3) (...) delle lotte antisioniste e antimperialiste. Una certezza per il ministro per l'attuazione del programma, Claudio Scajola, che ieri dichiarava: ¬Appare in maniera evidente che questo terrorismo fa politica, è informato sulla politica dei Paesi europei, e quindi sicuramente ha dei collegamenti», confermando le ipotesi dei nostri servizi segreti, che attribuirebbero a cittadini italiani una partecipazione attiva nella resistenza irachena e nell'uccisione di connazionali. Tra gli europei contrari alla guerra in Iraq, dunque, alcuni si impegnano attivamente per sostenere la resistenza contro le forze armate americane. Fino a pochi mesi fa si trattava di un'insolita coalizione europea di estremisti, che fiancheggiano moralmente e finanziariamente i gruppi terroristici. E, stando a fonti vicine al Pentagono, che intendono mantenere l'anonimato, l'intelligence militare americana ne monitora da vicino le attività. Ma prima di arrivare a coincidere, le strategie del terrorismo internazionale hanno intrapreso una lunga marcia per la rivoluzione. Finché due elementi fondamentali si sono saldati. Il primo è la fatwa dell'11 febbraio 2002, con la quale Osama Bin Laden decreta la non incompatibilità tra il jihad e i movimenti socialisti, aprendo così anche possibilità di carriera per gli "infedeli". Il 3 dicembre 2003 esce la risoluzione strategica "Jihad in Iraq, speranze e pericoli".
Passa quasi un anno, poi la risposta arriva, dall'India. A Bombay, in parallelo con il Global Social Forum, tra il 17 e il 20 gennaio 2004. Sono quelli la data e il luogo di nascita del Mumbai Resistance, che individua la "resistenza" irachena come punto d'incontro di tutto l'antiamericanismo violento. L'aggancio è compiuto. Nel mirino degli investigatori, intanto, rimangono alcuni nomi italiani di spicco. Ma ormai è caccia aperta ai personaggi che stanno dietro le quinte, essenziali per ricostruire da chi siano state pronunciate le frasi in italiano registrate nei filmati dell'attacco contro i nostri soldati a Nassiriya, e capire chi comprendesse la nostra lingua durante la videoregistrazione del messaggio dei tre ostaggi delle Brigate Verdi, dopo l'assassinio di Fabrizio Quattrocchi. E poi, il linguaggio aggressivo rivolto contro Silvio Berlusconi nelle rivendicazioni dell'omicidio di Quattrocchi (¬ritardato mentale») e di Antonio Amato (¬sciocco») sembra avere la medesima radice. Un primo fronte di indagini tocca i sostenitori dell'Alleanza Patriottica Irachena (Api), un gruppo che compie attentati contro gli americani e i loro alleati. I suoi militanti sono principalmente dissidenti comunisti iracheni in esilio in Europa, il cui leader, Abdul Jabbar Kubaisy, dopo aver incontrato Saddam Hussein a Bagdad, nel febbraio 2003 impegna l'Alleanza a ¬fronteggiare l'aggressione imperialista americana»
. Quando scoppia la guerra, Kubaisy torna in Iraq, ma lascia il suo vice, Awni al Kalemji, a fare propaganda per l'Api in Europa. Arrestato e poi scagionato dalle autorità danesi per l'arruolamento in Danimarca di alcuni iracheni che sono andati a combattere con i fedayn di Saddam, Kalemji cerca il sostegno degli europei visceralmente contrari alla guerra. Lo trova tra i militanti dell'estrema sinistra. Nell'estate 2003, Kalemji partecipa al Campo Antimperialista di Assisi, poi è ospite di alcuni circoli dell'Arci.
L'intelligence italiana si accorge però che all'iniziativa aderisce in un primo momento anche un gruppo eterogeneo. Ne fanno parte tra gli altri Susanne Scheidt, Miguel Martinez e Franco Cardini, insigne medievista secondo il quale gli ultimi video di Bin Laden sono un falso della Cia per diffondere sentimenti anti-islamici. Per finire con padre Jean-Marie Benjamin, il prete cattolico francese che - proprio prima della guerra, nel febbraio 2003 - ha organizzato la visita in Vaticano dell'ex viceministro degli Esteri iracheno Tareq Aziz. Il quotidiano iracheno Al Mada ha inoltre rivelato che il sacerdote era tra gli occidentali che ricevevano finanziamenti dal regime iracheno, un'accusa che il prete francese continua a respingere. All'iniziativa aderiscono infine anche mem- bri dell'Ucoii, la maggiore organizzazione islamica italiana, che però sulla questione registra una spaccatura al vertice. I responsabili del Campo Antimperialista raccolgono fondi per l'Api, chiedendo dieci euro a ogni partecipante e aprendo un conto bancario in Italia per le donazioni. Mentre i leader del gruppo risiedono in Italia, altri militanti sono attivi in Austria e in Germania. I fiancheggiatori europei dell'Api nemmeno tentano di negare la raccolta fondi per un'organizzazione che commette atti di terrorismo contro le forze della Coalizione. Moreno Pasquinelli, uno dei leader del gruppo, arrestato a Perugia il primo aprile nell'ambito di una operazione internazionale di polizia contro il gruppo terrorista marxista turco DHKP-C, lo ha apertamente ribadito in un'intervista: ¬Non è affar nostro sapere in che modo useranno i fondi. Possono stampare giornali o comprare armi. Per noi è lo stesso». A leggere le interviste di Kalemji, sembra però che il gruppo preferisca acquistare armi. Dopo aver auspicato che la guerra in Iraq finisca come la ¬guerra di liberazione in Vietnam»
Kalemji ha dichiarato che l'Api ha centinaia di uomini armati che combattono in Iraq contro le forze occidentali che hanno aderito alla Coalizione guidata dall'America e ¬contro chiunque collabori con loro».
Nel dicembre scorso Kalemji è ricevuto come un eroe durante un raduno organizzato a Roma dal Campo anti-imperialista. Poi viaggia in altri Paesi europei per incontrare sostenitori e ricevere donazioni. Sebbene secondo la legge tedesca e italiana le attività dell'Api costituiscano raccolta di fondi a favore di un'organizzazione terroristica estera, le nostre autorità e quelle di Berlino non hanno ancora preso i provvedimenti del caso. Così hanno permesso che il 14 febbraio l'Api organizzasse un altro raduno nelle piazze di Milano. Sotto lo sguardo vigile delle autorità italiane, continua ancora la raccolta di fondi per attaccare ¬l'arrogante invasore americano».
Sulla questione sarà sentito il capo degli 007 militari ROMA - Il presidente del Copaco, il comitato parlamentare di controllo sui servizi di informazione e sicurezza, Enzo Bianco ha disposto per i prossimi giorni un'audizione del direttore del Sismi, il servizio segreto militare, generale Niccolò Pollari. La decisione è stata presa proprio per sentire l'opinione del capo dei nostri 007 impegnati in Iraq sulla possibile partecipazione attiva di elementi italiani al fianco della sedicente resistenza irachena, partecipazione che sembrerebbe tra l'altro confermata da un video (trasmesso anche dal Tg5) in cui si ode una voce italiana durante l'attacco subito dal nostro contingente militare a Nassiriya. ¬L'audizione - spiega lo stesso Bianco - è stata disposta allo scopo di fare piena luce in ogni suo aspetto sulla vicenda, nella sede istituzionalmente corretta per informare con la dovuta tempestività e precisione il Parlamento, in modo tale da garantire la dovuta riservatezza che la vicenda richiede».
Il presidente del Copaco precisa anche che ¬in nessuna informativa del Sismi si è finora fatto cenno a un'ipotesi del genere», tra l'altro rilanciata recentemente anche dal giornalista Magdi Allam sulla prim a pagina del Corriere della Sera.
