Were I a Bush speech writer, I'd make a little one about how, "Though I'm not widely known for my grammatical eloquence [pause for laughter], I do know the importance of prepositions. Here's the one I'm thinking of:

"I run ON my record.

"Senator Kerry is running AWAY FROM his record."

Zell Miller- devastating!
One of the most awesome performances by a senator I have ever seen.

Kerry says that strength is not just words. I think GW gets that. He refers to the lessons he learned in Nam. Too early for a drink. We need a fresh president to get the credibility to go back to the European nations. This is Edwards speaking. Steffie asks how do you get the Arab nations on board. "Relationships" says Edwards, who is, by the way, upstaging Kerry. Now Kerry intoning in his ususal style. He has huge leverage, but he's not going to tell us what it is until he's president. He has secret cards to put on the table. People will have to judge his 35 years in foreign affairs. This race is about a judgement of character (Kerry speaking). Well, if that's so, GW wins.

Which country,,US or Iraq. Are you referring to the Israeli method of dealing with terrorists by punishing their families? If so I do not think that would work or be desirable. Or are you referring to this election and what would happen if Kerry were elected?

No question, good analysis

Mary Matlin just called the rat convention "a convention of hate"--she was interrupted immediately by the sitting rats.

Carl Cameron DID NOT report the marines flap incident. That was my point that he functions as Kerry spokesperson.

"You must remember that the people who vote for Kerry are really not voting for HIM, they are voting against Bush....sad"!

With performances like this, the far-left will leave this sinking ship, The SS kedweirds.

The President's surge will come from the 10% of lefties that will purge themselves from lurch's minions, and defect to Nader. They were very disapponited in his convention spew.

OH, thanks for clarificastion. I don't see a tipping point dramatic moment, like a new Civil War. I see a gradual dimunition of ourselves and country. More and more decadence in societal life, less intellectualial thought about where we are going, more and more demagogues, more handouts, less responsibility. A welfare state with alot of attention to celebrity, fashion, sex. A weak state.

Can Kerry get away with not telling us his plan until he is President--sounds like pure rat BS to me. As well as more Dick Morris triangulation, "I,m for everything, against everything, and won't tell until I'm elected," he takes all three sides, more Bubba strategy.

It's important to remind ourselves occasionally that Mr. Kristol is a real neo-con by birth: a marxist in a Rino suit.

the tipping point, the point at which a majority of the US electorate is unreachable by fact and reality, even to the point of protecting their own lives in many cases, and are simply pawns of the mainstream media and the popular culture - the classic "sheeple" definition. we already have a country where more people are concerned about the treatment of chickens, then the beheading of americans.

I was simply responding to cajungirl's comment that this election will "show us what America is made of". I was simply saying that she might not like the result.

"Can Kerry get away with not telling us his plan until he is President--"

I don't think so, unless a lot more people are a lot more gullible than I realize. Steffie is asking some good questions, BTW. He's on gay marriage now. All Kerry can say is what's important is not to be divided. Says GW won because of the ONE vote in the Supreme Court. ARRRRGH. Liar, liar, pants on fire. I'd light them myself if I could.

What the dems are doing that fascinates me because I hear it from others is putting GWB between a rock and a hard place. They bitch after the commission report that he hasn't done enough. But when he did things in the last few years, he was accused of being a fascist. Now that he is doing executive orders in response to the commsion, he is either going off half cocked, doing too little too late or not fully embracing the commssion because he is not doing everything they say. So no matter what he does it is not enough, too much, proof he is a do nothing or proof he is a fascist. My head spins. And I wonder, since when did a commission abrogate the president and the congress.

>you may not like what you see. the country is very near the tipping point.

Don't believe the media spin. Both (Bush & Kerry campaign) private polsters will tell you Bush's numbers are strong. Just watch that Bush people are happy (which can't be faked) & Kerry people are angry (they are real too, which they have to face reality later).

Kerry says he knows how to demand from the people who work for me to get things done. Like his valet?
