perhaps, but I will never be optimistic about large segments of the American people. when I hear more people at work talking about how those chickens were mistreated, but not a word from the same people about the beheadings. when I see hours and hours of coverage on Kobe/Laci/Hacking etc, its just insanity.

You know it really is insanity.

But you really can't let too many things like that get you down. Remember the average IQ of the rat voter is slightly more than their age. That's what we are up against, a lot of stupid people.

Caught Zell Miller on with MeeT the Perturbed host, Timmy...

Timmy had the usual contradictory statements available to toss at Zell but Zell was strong in his defense of why He Will Vote for George Bush as the Right Man in the Right Place at the Right Time for America.

Zell stated that Kerry had missed something like 38 of 49 Senate Intelligence hearings and quite a few special intelligence briefings is how I think he said it...and also Zell was for John Kerry in the Senate before he saw him in action and now he is against him.

Zell sees the next 5 years as crititcal for our country's future and does not feel that JeanKerri' has the Right Stuff.

Zell has been bashed by the DEms as leaving the parry when , in fact, it is the party that has left its own party beind and embraced the DSA plank and its desire to have a 1WG.

Then Biden .. Timmy Timmy Timmy ... putting on a guy with a brain assist device to support Kerry's actions ijn the Senate.. lol

You can read an interesting article about Kerry's cookie business at:

Seems that he ripped off another guy's ideas.

"The radical left will run him, run the government and he will be a well dressed, well coifed puppet."

We'll have a puppet government if he's elected. The media and foreign governments will run him. I'm convinced that's why they hate W so much, because they can't dictate to him and push him around.

If he gives his valet such instructions, it is carried out to the tee. See the man is a leader. People do what he says. And if he says "take the crust off just so" well, the valet says yessireebobtail and does it pronto. BTW where did yessireebobtail come from? My mom used to say it.

on Fox News Sunday, Fred Barnes says 'Kerry wants to run as a better war President than W.'

Absurd. If America comes to believe this, then all is lost. There is that chance---very remote, imho--only because of the complicit Old Media, who are generally equal to libs on my POS scale.

Zell Miller AND Newt were excellent today. They gave FACTS that were devastating to the pretender candidate's senate RECORD, which seems to have slipped Mr. Botox's mind.

Kondracke's comments about Kerry's strategy was perfect - "what is Kerry going to do, get permission from France and Germany before he is able to make a credible threat for use of force against Iran or North Korea?"

Wouldn't you think that even the old media would have a pause, just for a millisecond, and think about it. Think about more attacks, their wives in burkas, their money all gone, their mansions inhabited by terrorists, their sons beheaded, their daughters raped. You might think that would give them pause.

Since I do not usually read this magazine, I am not familiar with John Leo's perspective, but I fund his commentary of the DNC charade very interesting.

Talk about getting religion!

Rub your eyes. Did we just see a Democratic convention brimming with flag-waving patriotism, respect for the military, and references to God and values? Why, yes, I believe we did. Barack Obama, the impressive new African-American star of the Democratic Party, told us how blue-state Americans "worship an awesome God," the implication being that Democrats generally are deeply committed to religion and overcome by the power and majesty of God. Even semialert people who follow politics with one eye shut know this isn't really the case. As umpteen scholars have pointed out, the Democrats are morphing into a secular, or nonbelieving party, while the most fervent nonminority Christians are moving into the Republican column.

---snip----

Two worlds. The Boston convention was a festival of values that the Democratic Party either does not hold or does not want mentioned much in the public arena. Has any Democratic gathering paid so much positive attention to the Pledge of Allegiance? Obama promoted the pledge. Ted Kennedy offered an improbable (for him) twofer: By using the phrase "under God," he invoked both faith and the pledge. The party platform announced that the "common purpose" of Americans is to "build one nation under God." But the pledge has been under heavy fire from Democratic pressure groups for years, both for the "under God" line and the sheer fact that it is said in schools. Millions of Americans view the pledge as an affirmation of community and national commitment. Among Democratic groups, it is usually viewed as mandatory patriotism.

---snip---

Perhaps the most jarring of the "values" themes in Boston was the convention's attempt to identify with religious voters. Come to the Democratic convention and sing "Amazing Grace." Many religious people, of course, are Democrats. But the secular elites who control the party have worked long and hard to marginalize religion in America and to banish it from the public square. Two political scientists, in a 2001 study published in the Public Interest, concluded that the origins of the culture war can be traced to "the increased prominence of secularists within the Democratic Party and the party's resulting antagonism toward traditional values." The authors, Louis Bolce and Gerald De Maio, describe a "secularist putsch" among the Democrats, explaining that it made the Republicans the traditionalist party "by default more than by overt action." According to Bolce and De Maio, the secularist constituency is as important to Democrats today as organized labor. Under these circumstances, invoking God (seven mentions in the Democratic platform) drags marketing to the point of hypocrisy. Get used to it. The Democrats will be strongly religious--right up till November 2.

Kerry would never say yessireebobtail--it's anti metro sexual and sounds like something the average person would say. Kerry would say: "Yes, Jeeves."Get the "family" SUV and instruct the driver to bring it around.

Greg Burke reported on Fox about Vatican's critical Report of Radical Feminism, mentioning Kerry convention's reasoning of the timing. Later, Kerry convention part was removed from his reports. Some Kerry supporters at Fox looks like watching.

Alan Colmes is saying Kerry did two tours in Viet Nam. I don't think that is correct. Four months does not two tours make.

That's why John Kerry is a perfect war hero for liberals. They are in territory they don't understand, and have not been in before.

I met some old acquaintances for lunch yesterday, and one of the comments that came up was, "What's more ironic? The Democrats trying to ride Vietnam into the White House, or the German police trying to rescue Israeli athletes at the 1972 summer Olympics?"
