Aug. 28, 2004 — MOSCOW (Reuters) - Explosives have been found in the wreckage of the second of two jets which crashed almost simultaneously this week, Russia's FSB security service said on Saturday.

"Additional examination of the fragments of the Tu-134 aircraft which crashed Tuesday ... has revealed traces of hexogen," an FSB spokesman said by telephone.

The FSB said Friday that hexogen, more widely known as RDX, had been found in the wreckage of the other plane which crashed Tuesday in southern Russia.

The bastards are also boasting about how little money they've spent to cause this terror. These linguiny spined countries have to get behind us and kick some al queda butt before it's too late.

The black widows didn't like their country being raped and destroyed.

One cannot condone terrorist acts. On the other hand how does a nation that has been ravaged by it's larger neighbor fight back?

We have our answer. Putin is reaping what he has planted..

I wouldn't be too hard on Putin. HE's not the only one sleeping with the devil.

"These linguiny spined countries have to get behind us and kick some al queda butt before it's too late."

Forget the "linguiny spined" countries, we can't even get our own "linguiny spined" citizens to get behind us on this. This election, whether it's admitted or not, is entirely about the war on Islamofacism. If people vote for the giveaway-programs candidate, or the glam candidate (according to Hollyweird, not me), they're saying they don't care a fig about terrorism, even if it bites 'em on the hindquarters.

Which, I guess, will make them "linguiny" minded too.

From: http://www.ordnance.org/rdx.htm
RDX:
Also referred to as cyclonite, or hexogen, RDX is a white crystalline solid usually used in mixtures with other explosives, oils, or waxes; it is rarely used alone. It has a high degree of stability in storage and is considered the most powerful and brisant of the military high explosives.

RDX compositions are mixtures of RDX, other explosive ingredients, and desensitizers or plasticizers. Incorporated with other explosives or inert material at the manufacturing plants, RDX forms the base for the following common military explosives: Composition A, composition B, composition C, HBX, H-6 and Cyclotol.

Yeah, it's used in the manufacture of those center fuel tanks.

Thanks. I just googled it myself and noted that many articles came up. I know the missile theory had been wideley discussed but I completely missed the RDX connection.

I think their problem was they only put efforts into protecting international flights. I've been through their screening and it's fairly good since they can discriminate. They didn't feel much of a threat for in national flights.

They found PETN, a reddish residue from an explosion on the seats. That's what James Saunders had analyzed after he was given a swiped cloth sample, and what he got into trouble for,
wasn't it?

Remember that morality in battle is defined by the side willing to go the lowest. Fighting back by killing innocents is sufficiently low that I will not question anything Putin chooses to do at this point. Terrorists can call themselves what they will, they must be completely destroyed. (Bush are you getting this?)

The Russians have already set the bar low. The Russians have killed thousands of Chechen civlilians.

What are a people who do not have the firepower to strike back supposed to do?

On Saturday morning, August 28, the New York Times headline (bottom left column of page 1) says,

"Explosive Suggests Terrorists Downed Plane, Russia Says"

"Suggests"! Unless the NYT goes to press before the end of the business day in Moscow, this is gross understatement. Even The News Hour with Jim Lehrer clearly reported on Friday evening that the Russians concluded that at least of one of the two crashes was definitely terrorism. The News Hour had a ten-minute segment on the attack. And, of course, if one crash is terrorism, only the naive would continue to think at press time on Friday night that the second might not be. Why is the NYT soft peddling this story?

Why is the NYT soft peddling this story?

I've been wondering why the entire media has been soft peddling this story. Now that the second plane has been confirmed to have explosive residue in the wreckage the media seems to be picking the story up. It was a no-brainer from the first report that two planes dropped from the radar simultaneously. Again, people here in the U.S. see it as their problem - it didn't happen here. Well, if it happened there we can be sure they are still fixated aviation attacks and it's just a matter of time before they slip through our system.

Yup, these are the same people that are giving the Iranians nuclear technology. Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture?

The russians denied terrorism at first. However, they were not convincing. They need a script form the FBI like for flight 800, the Egyptian Air and the AA flight that blew up over Brooklyn and crashed in Queens... then again, I don't believe them either.

Why is the N.Y.T. soft-peddling on the issue of terror attacks to bring down two planes?
The N.Y.T. is afraid that somebody comes to the conclusion that George Bush's actions prevented terror attacks in the U.S. since 9/11.
Think of where we went to fight a terror war, Patriot Act, active prevention and not reactive Kerry contemplations to fight terror.
Congress would have no problem to investigate and allocate blame...afterwards. Bush's unwavering leadership was and continues to be the key.
