What all you Freepers (I learned a new word today!) can do for my family is to show the same kind of support for our president, maybe attend Kerry/Edwards rallies yourself... showing the same kind of respect, perserverence, and steadfast resolve that we have tried to show. Please bring good credit upon yourselves and our president.

I'm late to this discussion, and would respect your family's right to their own image. But if you have a picture of Bush hugging your precious little sister to contrast with this one, I am sure some of the talented FReepers here could get a lot of mileage out of that.

I do hope she's alright. Wouldn't it be nice if the President said he remembered her, and inquired about her disposition, as well?
But, I'm sorry, you know even if the police were friendly, or some were, they clearly dropped the ball. This should never have happened. Like NYPD doing crowd control at the convention, they should have waded right in with a badge and a nightstick. And that guy, and maybe a couple of others, should be up on charges, right now.
But it's a good call, I think, as well. Ask others to show. LOTS of others. LOTS and LOTS of others. Lots of others who'd like it if somebody tried the same stunt with them. Try it on a grown-up woman and Bush supporter. Can you imagine Laura Ingraham or Ann Coulter having a sign ripped from their hands? But, bring LOTS of banners. And if the union thugs start a-slappin, I think, in that case, it would be a credit and would be a good show to slap them back. Frankly, that's what that guy needed.

Freeped the local Dems pretty good today (Freeport, IL) with you guys in mind, using Kerry's treasonous words against him. Got 'em pretty good, they were really going nuts, and wouldn't talk to us at all after our oldest member revealed he's a Vietnam vet. If I say something I don't know anything because I'm in my thrities, but when a real Vietnam vet shows up, they clam up. Fun stuff!
