Blogger David Burge notes (third item) that "famous brooding internet intellectual Joshua Micah Fauntleroy Mellencamp Heinz-Marshall . . . has put his finger on the root of John Kerry's electoral dysfunction--inadequate slogans!--and solicits suggestions."

"MoveOn ad: "George Bush got us into this quagmire. It will take a new president to get us out."
Not "to win," but "to get us out." Just like Vietnam. "
Exactly. And this time the consequence of "getting us out" instead of WINNING, would be catastrophic: the Islamofascists would take over the Middle East and blackmail the world with nukes, not to mention, most likely actually launch a nuke at Israel, or even the US. All because we didn't stand firm.
Cheney is right, when he says that if Kerry would get elected, terrorism would have a resurgence.

"Some look at things as they are and say, 'Why?' Others look at things as they are not and say, 'Why not?,' and I suppose a few might look at things as they are not, and say 'why?,' and vice-versa, and so forth, and one might be tempted to look at these people looking at things and ask 'Who?,' but this would not be constructive, because the important thing to realize is that some people like to look at things, and this is precisely my point."
LOL!

IOWA HAWK.....A diminutive FIREBRAND of the esoteric 1st Order....
This "genius" of whacko truth....as far as the opposite side is concerned....will be forever humbled by the "radical right wingers" of his actual geographical home turf. We had him at a meeting of the Barrington Impeachment Boosters....at Mill Rose in Chicago's beautiful northwest suburban setting. If only we could have stripped him naked, on the balcony, over the bar, and found out what really makes this guy "tick".
Before we could finalize the situation, he had disappeared into a herd of wise-ol-Elk's, in the nearby "Grove".
Always been the fav of Chi-Town Freepers....and, always will be our most "knighted" guest. Of course he's a midwesterner...that makes his life especially "cogent" and admired! Not the least his talented way of getting to the nub of that nagging question..."out there"!

REad further on about "journalistic integrity" There is an interesting paragraph from CBS' rules for dealing with anonymous sources:
"There is more, including this: "Where the use of an anonymous source is necessary, as much information as possible about the nature [underlined] of the source should be provided to the audience, assuming, of course, that this information would not lead to disclosure of the source. Where the source may have a vested interest in the matter to be reported, it is especially important that information be provided as to the nature and/or motivation of the source."
Rather has violated both of these "rules"
