October 4, 2004--In Florida, after a month filled with hurricanes and a Presidential Debate, it's Bush 51% Kerry 47%. Roughly half the survey interviews were completed after the Presidential Debate.
Before the Republican National Convention, the President was ahead by two -points in Florida, 49% to 47%. For most of the year, the state has been too close to call.
Fifty-five percent (55%) of Florida voters have a favorable opinion of the President. Fifty-one percent (51%) say the same about Senator Kerry.

MI: Bush 46 - Kerry 46
MN: Bush 46 - Kerry 48
OH: Bush 48 - Kerry 45
PA: Bush 48 - Kerry 46
So, in the 3 primary battleground states of FL, OH and PA, Bush has leads of 4, 3 and 2. Plus, MI is a tie.
Not bad numbers considering that about half the data would now be post-debate.
poll ping
Plus the post debate data is from the weekend. Persevere.
I think the numbers will decline for a couple more days as the impact of the debate media spin fully gets incorporated, but by the weekend because of good performances by Cheney and Bush at the debates, plus a great jobs report the tide will turn back our way... and by next tuesday we will be ahead by 5 or 6 nationally and have only 3 weeks to go!!!
Bush is tied in Michigan? MICHIGAN???? OH my the bleeding in the Kerry camp is now GUSHING
MI: Bush 46 - Kerry 46
MN: Bush 46 - Kerry 48
OH: Bush 48 - Kerry 45
PA: Bush 48 - Kerry 46
Looks good!
If Bush doesn't win Florida after all the billions of aid, how can he win Iowa or Wisconsin?
PING
"Bush is tied in Michigan? MICHIGAN???? OH my the bleeding in the Kerry camp is now GUSHING "
This is remarkable, and I wonder if it is related to the effect of the influx of moslems in various Michigan towns, agitating for the right to disturb the peace by having calls to prayer on loudspeakers etc.
IE, maybe the michiganders are getting a glimpse of the "clash of civilizations" Europe has lapping at its doorstep, and making the obvious connection to the threat of terrorism.
Also drove by a large, vandalized Bush sign at a busy interesection (K/E spray-painted). When I returned past 45 min later it was being repaired.
Things are heating-up.
If the Presidential race were a stock, I would say Kerry got a dead cat bounce from the debate. That Luch headed b*tch is going down and I would short that French twit for every cent you got. The fact is, call me crazy, but the majority of Americans don`t like communist/socialist poodle boys who call our troops baby killers and who insisted over 30 years ago that pulling out of Vietnam "would not result in a massacre of the Vietnamese"...I can`t wait till this jackass loses, and George Soros, Michael Moore and all the rest should get it shoved right up their wazoo when that happens. "The American people have spoken...Observe ye olde middle finger gentlemen."
Does anyone know how many percentage points the dem fraudsters can perpetrate?
Bush lost Minn, Michigan and PA last time. If he wins these this time, Florida could be lost without harm.
"MI: Bush 46 - Kerry 46
MN: Bush 46 - Kerry 48
OH: Bush 48 - Kerry 45
PA: Bush 48 - Kerry 46"
"I went to the Rasmussen site, and the latest PA poll was Bush 47 Kerry 47, the latest OH poll was Bush 48 Kerry 47, and the latest MN poll was over a week old and had Bush and Kerry tied at 46%. It seems like only the Michigan numbers are correct. Where did you get your numbers?"
These are the numbers provided to premium members. Various members post the numbers elsewhere on the web each day. I monitor those places.
good news battleground state poll ping!
By the way, any advance word, rumor, or speculation on the Sept Jobs reports, due Friday?
I expect this debate to be worse than the first. It doesn't matter if Bush is sharper. They'll have phony "noncommitted" voters that are really Democrats asking loaded questions. Baker must be a numbskull for agreeing to this. He made the same mistake with Bush I. Why he's considered a good negotiator is beyond me. And why Bush let him do it is beyond me. I think everyone in the Bush campaign is unconscious.
