***Operation 4 More Years - Situation Room - Day 1 - LIVE THREAD***
Various | 2 November 2004 | Various

Posted on 11/02/2004 2:48:56 AM PST by An.American.Expatriate

As I and many of my fellow expatriates are often hard pressed to get any non-biased information from the media (we are often stuck with CNN-International!!), I have decided to start this thread in the tradition of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Situation Room threads.  I hope this meets with the approval of Jim & John and the Admin guys . . .

The purpose of this thread is to be a place to collect information from all sources into one area for discussion.  Specific threads for specific topics and cross linking are highly encouraged.

Totally agree, stand up to that women, personally I would be seriously thinking about a seperation of sorts.

I wouldn't go that far, and I wouldn't try to stop her from contacting the local DNC to ask for a ride, but I just wouldn't help anyone cast a vote for Kerry.

Where are the Floridian Freepers?

We're here. Don't worry. Florida WILL go for Bush. At the early voting line yesterday that snaked around the block, I saw NO deadbeat MTV/RockTheVote overly hyped types.

Lay of Canadians, we are just like you!

I love Canada and most Canadians ... except for the French-held territories.

Awesome short video to remind everyone how important it is that Bush/Cheney get those 4 more years.

Voted in NYC. There were two voting booths and they told Republicans to vote in one booth, Democrats to vote in the other.

That's bizarre! It's normal for primaries because there are different ballots but awfully suspicious in a general election!

Voted absentee from Iraq October 3. Most of my co-workers did so around the same time and, gee, coincidentally, we all voted for the same candidate. Maybe it's because we all work for The Eeeeevil Halliburton.

Alright Halliburtonites! Props. Foreigners can outsource, too!

The Amish are arriving in droves.

Thats a good sign. Previously they didn't vote much but when they do vote, they vote conservative. If Bush wins PA I gotta remember to buy some of those great Amish pies.

It's odd that Canadians tell me all the time that Americans don't know anything about Canada (when I point out the difficulties of socialism) yet feel qualified 100% to tell me what is wrong with the USA -- where plenty of them have never been!

There are some Canadians like me who travel a lot in the USA (just came back from Virgina Beach a few weeks ago) and Canada who thoroughly agree with your comments. In fact I have met much more friendly folks in Virgina and South Carolina compared to some parts of Toronto. Oddly, I also find a lot of Americans who actually know a lot about Canada.

At 6:45 I was twentieth in line (7:00 open). By the time it opened there had to be two hundred standing in line. I hope huge turnout is good for our side!

Looking for the right contact info. The NYC voter number is useless.

Do you have a number for the state GOP? They might be able to help/advise you.

My wife and step son just got back from voting in NC. They left for the polling place at 6:20 got back at 8:00 (polls opened at 6:30). When they got there there was 125 in line. This is a mixed precinct that leans Republican.
