PENNSYLVANIA GOING TO BUSH!?!?!?!
11-02-04 | Josh in PA

Posted on 11/02/2004 5:35:26 AM PST by Josh in PA

I have been doing work for two candidates, One a guy running for PA State House, and another one in the US House (John Peterson)... From what I'm hearing higher up in the campaigns, the GOP voting turnout in this rural area of PA (that went 62-34 to Bush) is OFF THE FRICKIN CHARTS!!!

They actually think Pennsylvania is going to goto Bush.. I'll get more when I hear it!!!!!

Same in Michigan, WJR in Detroit is reporting long lines at polling places in the suburbs of Detroit, not the city itself. Of about 25 people calling into WJR, all but one was voting for Bush, there was a sole Kerry voter. A number were one issue voters who made the decision on the terrorism issue alone. I was so-so about Bush carrying Michigan, I'm now convinced, I beleive we are seeing a landslide occuring... I can't wait to watch returns tonight!

So that 'outta take a few points off the free-cheese, deceased, insane, rapist-felon, gay, gang, street-vermin, drug-lord, transsexual and bipolar vote in Philadelphia.

Yes. Technology isn't really a sin to them--they simply feel their lifestyle brings them closer to God.

the times for "making a point" have come to an end

No, I didn't think you were trying to demoralize us. Given my own experience volunteering in Philly, I"m just not sure that PA will go for Bush.

Josh, where you from? I'm originally from Warren County, but now live in Richland Township (Johnstown area). From what I saw when my wife and I voted this morning, voter turnout is pretty heavy here too and I'm hearing the same from others. We need VERY heavy turnout from the rural areas to offset what is already occurring in Pgh and Philthydelphia.

Yeah, they just couldn't have one in their own house. Like a phone - if it's outside the kitchen window on a pole, it's OK. Go figure. As long as they vote Bush, they're OK with me, though.

It's getting so I feel a closer bond with Bushies than my own church members - some of them are voting for Kerry, and I will remember that. Very disappointing from people who consider themselves Christians to try and put sKerry in office.

I was thinking about this, because it will be the Dems' mantra after the election: Who should we have nominated?

Some will say Dean, "Why not lose being who we are?"

Some will say Gephardt, "He's moderate, experienced and he isn't a traitor to America."

Some will say Hillary, "We should have drafted her, she's the only one who can unite the party."

But Kerry is emblematic of the party: haughty, arrogant, cowardly, shortsighted.

He was the best candidate for the Dems and the worst as well.

When our President received the quilt from the Amish Lady from Lancaster this summer and he made an effort to see her personally and thank her AND the entire clan showed up.....said alot.

Family members who live near the area said then...the Amish would show their appreciation of his appreciation.

"On my way out I saw the posters with Gov Rendell and the dems behind the bushes. I'm sure that was were they were dropped off by the dem party, but no one was there to setup. "

Did you drop them in the trash for good measure?

I just moved to PA, this is my first time voting in the state. I live in Carbon County, a small rural area in the western poconos. I was in line to vote at 6:50 and there was a line of approx 30 voters ahead of me. I was told that this is the longest line ever.

I'm sure most of those voting were voting for Bush, since they were dressed for work. The folks that had the rolls that you sign would state your party affiliation loud enough for the rest of the county to hear, no one gave me any funny looks when she bellowed out "Republican" when it was my turn.

In a related story, yesterday I started training to be a volunteer firefighter in my town. I'm finally going to do my civic duty. I believe it is never too late to get involved, becomong a fireman at age 46 isn't a world record, but I'm proud of myself for getting off my * and will not feel ashamed if I ever need to call the FD to protect my property and life.

It's a great day in the neighborhood

Tom

Reporting for a first-time PA voter in State College, Centre County. < salute >

Line was medium-sized, but not overwhelmingly long. I was in and out in about 40 minutes. Quite a few K/E buttons, but that's not unexpected in a college town. I had to show a picture ID as a first-time PA voter.

Bush, Specter (ugh), Petersen
