have forgotten to adjust for barometric pressure

Gulfstream II probably had radar altimeter. Did he land way short?

Sad to say, pilot probably wasn't aligned on localizer (left/right of runway).

He was about a mile and a half from the runway, and he clipped the lightpole on the freeway. It was a tall lightpole, but there's no way he should have been that low that far out.

If he had been aligned with the localizer from the ILS system both vertical and horizontal he should have had enough altitude to avoid any obstacles.

You're probably correct.

Darn, when I air controlled I always gave the Atstg. (Altimeter Setting)...who screwed up?
