TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO FEBRUARY DAILY THREAD 2005: TERRI IS OUR VALENTINE!
Free Republic and various sources | December 30, 2004, January 31, 2005 | Florida Voter

*Michael, HAVE A HEART !!!!!For Valentines Day give Terri back to her MOM & DAD, The Schindlers!!!!!!!!*

The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.

Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views. January 2005 Daily Thread was a RECORD HIGH!!!!!!! 15, 103 VIEWS!!!!!!

More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

Visit: http://www.terrisfight.org

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.

"We need to correct misrepresentations by "so called do gooders" and then ignore them. I totally agree."

Good point. First expose their lies and/or the evils in what they espouse - THEN ignore them.

To never expose their evil lies is like appeasement.

"Ooops. I could kick myself. Maybe I spoke too soon re: HB701. It apparently has a horrible provision for PVS patients. It leaves the decision making upon ethics committees or the Florida Bioethics Network, i.e. Ken Goodman, etc. in the meantime do not voice support for HB701. Right now legal, medical, and disability advocates are working on sorting this out. Please forgive me."

A committee making these decisions!!! Lord help us all.

A while back, several of Terri's Friends were called paranoid tinfoil hat wearing loonies for suggesting that these decisions might ever be made by some committee of bureaucrats. Or for suggesting that some legislator might propose such a thing. Yet here it is. Sometimes those tinfoil loonies are just the ones who are best at spotting a trend.

"Yep. And now he denies saying it. He likes to lie, and doesn't shy away from lies he can easily be caught in."

Amazing how trolls almost always do this, especially since everything they say stays on record. If it's not fibbing, then maybe it's an inability to keep his facts straight, including what he said himself.

I doubt that someone with that problem is the best one to give advice on how a PR campaign for Terri should be run.

"I am for whatever it takes to free Terri, but unfortunately I see absolutely nothing that will preserve her physical life."

Well, I'm not going to give up on that as long as she's still alive. Remember what we've been saying - even if she dies, it's not over. Lots to follow up on from her case. Whether she lives or is killed, there will still be the ongoing effort to enact legal safeguards to insure that no one else will end up like Terri. There's also lots of work to be done to stop the euthanasia movement.

The reality is that I first made those suggestions about 18 months ago.

They were not followed then. They will not be followed now. Any attempt at changing methodology, and thereby changing results, is called berating the supporters.

I'm sorry, but the results of this fight speak for themselves. Terri's legal and practical fight should have been won a year ago. I cry for her that it was not.

I charge $850 an hour. I say that, not to say how good I am, but rather to point out a very strange phenomenon.

When I charge for services, people pay the bill, use the counsel, and get results. When I offer it for free, like in this case, counsel is usually ignored, and here, I am slammed for possibly questioning anything that has been done.

Please don't get me wrong, I have not asked for and would never take one penny from Terri, her parents, supporters or cause.

I know now to take my own advice, shut up and leave Terri's supporters alone. It's a shame they have not produced results.

You may think I am kidding, but the following is the absolute truth.

Every other semester I teach a graduate level two-day symposium on Media, PR and the Law in DC.

On the morning of day two, we cover problem clients, the know it all who insists their methods are correct despite experience, measurable results and deltas (changes) in public perception.

I have no doubt you care for Terri very much. That said, I will be using your comments here of an illustration of what not to do. Since you have not been identified by name or likeness, there are no libel/slander issues to contend with.

Thank you for providing such excellent course materiel. I promise I will use it word for word.

I just wish your caring had been coupled with skill, your volume had resulted in success.

Good luck.

"WHY is everyone wasting so much time responding to MindBender? Just ignore him."

Good advice. Please ignore these people.

PLEASE MAKE NOTE AND TAKE ACTION. FOR GLOBAL/LOCAL DISTRIBUTION:

Here is a report from earlier yesterday:

I just recently got off the phone with someone (Kelly) in Senator Campbell's office. I wanted to find out who he was sponsoring the Senate Bill 0988 (Dead man's statute). When Kelly called me back she relayed to me that he was sponsoring it for the States Attorney's Office. I asked which one as there are various States Attorney's. She said the States Attorney's Office AS-A-WHOLE.

It makes me remember those old westerns where some poor guy is struggling across the desert - suffering from dehydration, appropriately enough. Then, the buzzards start circling overhead.

Terrific analogy, Wampus!

As for the medical ethics portion, if you are not a medical professional, you may not be aware there are ethics committees in hospitals, acute care centers, long term care, and most health facilities. These committees generally mediate conflicts within a family, guide those with relatives not expected to live, assist with organ procurement, donation, and other such issues. One major activity which has been repeatedly reported within medicine is that they frequently encourage relatives to discontinue life support if that patient is declared "futile" by the physician, and many health care facilities in this country have instituted Futile Care Policies. Having a medical ethics committee which helps to identify these patients and makes a determination such as this is nothing new.

I sent an email around last year asking people to contact their local hospitals and ask them for a copy of their futile care policy. Many facilities admit they have one, getting a copy is another matter. These committees have been making these decisions. Some states farther along in the process than others.

As stated previously, this is the only bill filed. There will be no other chances. This bill may not be tailored to Terri Schiavo, but there are no others addressing withdrawal of nurtition and hydration.

The trend is the push towards PAS and euthanasia. Several states' legislatures had or have bills pending on this currently.

In the state of Florida, the right to die agenda is very ensconced as a mainstream view. Florida is not the only state. Policies are woven around the right to die agenda, politicians are not educated to the facts and issues, nor are the general public. Right to die activists hold state job positions which creates the ability for them to affect public policy. And they have been successful, as we have been asleep at the wheel.

You can call RTL and have your questions answered, wait until somebody answers your questions, but be aware, this is not a Terri Schiavo bill. This is a bill to protect all people in this state.
Read the bill from that context. But read the bill.

In addition to earning over $500,000 in the Schiavo case, George Felos commands from $10,000 to $15,000 per speaking engagement to talk about Terri's case.

http://www.eaglestalent.com/speaker-bureau,1904,presenter,law-healthcare-health-George-Felos,speaker.asp

Felos is quick to accuse Terri's family of violating her right-to-privacy, yet he speaks publicly about Terri and her family and earns a bundle doing so.

You suggested a change in tactics AND you berated the supporters. That's where you went wrong.

You did the same thing, 18 months ago. We ALL remember reading your posts.
