"Forsake The Troops" ^

Posted on 02/23/2005 12:43:51 PM PST by mhking

Forsake The Troops started off as Citizens Against the Troops, an organization founded in the Summer of 2004. We currently have fifteen members in our organization, spanning all across this country. Our founder, and leader's name is Scott Vogel, who currently resides in Southern New Jersey. Other members have their bios available as well. To view those, click here.

Our position is that as it stands currently, the compensation, benefit, and retirement packages that our active duty and retired military personnel get is outrageous, and undeserved. The American taxpayer is supporting the military enlistee, when said person made the decision to become a walking, talking target for Uncle Sam, and "Yuk Yuk" Bush. They made the choice to leech off of the American taxpayer, therefore we must do our part as taxpayers to recoup our funds, or at the very least stop this obscene abuse of our taxes.

Our intention is not to inspire, suggest, or joke about violence towards the military; rather, our goal is to eventually approach Congress about completely revamping the military pay structure. Despite common opinion, we are not a hate group, that we do not condone acts of violence, or any illegal acts towards military facilities or personnel.

As there are 50 states in the union, I would hardly think that a membership of 15 spans the country.

Bridges span rivers, and only touch the water in a few places, if at all. 13 kalifornians and 2 taxachusetts senators would span most of the continental US, would it not? ;-P

Look what I got when I clicked on the link:

The IP address you are accessing from, 172.000.000.00 , has been banned from accessing this website.

Connections are not accepted from the following:

Users of America Online

Most users of Comcast Cable

Most military installations

Any proxy servers detected by our security software

If you are not a user of any of the above providers, this ban probably is directed against you personally, or someone using this IP address. Your IP may have also been banned if there was a match in the SORBS security database.

Access will probably never again be given to anyone using this IP address, and access will never be granted to users of the above named ISP. If you're seeing this screen.....face it, you're screwed.

Any questions may be directed to operations@smishosting.com, but there's no guarantee it'll even be read. Your ilk isn't worth our time.

fifteen members, eh?

Not including myself, I have 69 members in my RKBA troll-paving clique, which was also founded in Summer 2004... safe bet we are also more active, per person, than these "Forsake The Troops" turds.

God alone knows how many hundreds you have on your JD and BC pinglists.

just keeping things in perspective.

My brother is a single E-3, and I believe his base pay is something like $17,500 a year. He could flip burgers at McDonalds and make more money than that and for much less work. He does it because he really likes his job and likes the military.

It's a good thing he's single. I don't know how junior enlisted who are married and have children can even survive on such little pay. Heck, my cousin is an E-7 with a wife and children and I make a lot more than he does.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that our troops deserve every penny they get, and more.

No way!

Why? Why would someone want to do that?

But if they did:
It's a crime to impersonate an officer I think?
Trespassing maybe an angle?
Duress?
I'm sure there is something that can be done against such malicious acts.

Nity nite time for me. It's near 2400. bye till tomorrow.

Mr. Vogel resides on his isolated, secured compound within the woods of South Jersey.

That stood out as ridiculous.

My guess, idiot punk or punks craving attention*, and possibly harvesting email addresses (as suggested by Military family member).

* Which can take various forms, some unsought and unpleasant.

No I have never been to New Jersey, but we had a wonderful neighbor from there who was in the Navy.

I do live 11 miles from the Mississippi River which separates Tennessee and Arkansas, and this kind of stuff is real common there.

Actually, I have; a few years ago, one of my favorite summer jaunts involved going to the Cowtown Rodeo, all the way down in Woodstown (this was when I was living in central NJ; I've always loved the central and southern parts of the state and know the entire area well, while loathing northern NJ as dirty, crowded, rude, and just wholly unfit for civilized living), which is actually located south of the Mason-Dixon line. Yee-Haw! If you're from NJ or environs and haven't been down there I'd recommend it highly -- it's a blast. Who'da thunk we'd have a PRCA-affiliated rodeo here?

HOOAH!

Taken off their website:

Forsake The Troops is no longer a customer of SMIS Hosting. Their website is no longer hosted by our company. We intitally gave them the courtesy of more than 24 hours' notice to terminate their account, but due to their threats and vile behavior, which violated our TOS, they were removed as of 5pm on Thursday, February 24th, despite a grass-roots campaign to attempt to flood our e-mail boxes and telephone lines with cries of "Save our Ship!"

We don't normally air business matters with clients in the public, as we believe in respecting clients' privacy, however, Forsake The Troops, led by Scott Vogel and Laurie Vogel, chose to bring their business out in the public by way of threats and obscenities towards us. We find it tasteless that they felt that the fact the owner of SMIS has a biracial child is something to be used against him.

We apologize to the many people who were offended, and thank those who wrote in to complain, giving us the documentation to show that the Internet community did not appreciate their presence.

Furthermore, Forsake The Troops has chosen to refuse to honor an outstanding bill for some services. The money isn't of concern to us, though it costs money to run the servers, we have many customers who are good, decent people and pay their bills on time.

However, due to their outstanding balance, we have seized their domain name, which they purchased through us as a third-party domain reseller.

Therefore, we would like to offer the domain name to anyone who feels that any good can be served by it, though the name is vile and disgusting. Though they owe us money, we feel that it would be a good cause to donate the domain name to a Veterans' group, or some similar organization that can make some good come out of the name.

If you are with an organization that could benefit from this domain, please e-mail us through the link below.

An added bonus, besides the domain being used for good, is that nothing would anger the Vogels more than to see this domain pointed to a veteran's group or pro-military site. We would like to see this domain used for good.

We welcome your comments and inquiries about this client and the domain name at service@smishosting.com. You may also contact us through our website at www.smishosting.com.

Below are some links that we feel are appropriate at this time:

Military.Com

"Scott Vogel and Laurie Vogel, chose to bring their business out in the public by way of threats and obscenities towards us."

Military.com will probably feel pretty silly when they find out that the Vogels do not exist.

"We find it tasteless that they felt that the fact the owner of SMIS has a biracial child is something to be used against him."

Yeah, well, the asshat behind it is a white supremecist, so I do not think Military.com will be alone in finding him tasteless. I know I do.
