Theresa Marie Schindler... May Daily Thread 2005 CALL TO ACTION: Our Fight for Justice Continues
Various Sources ^ | April 3, 2005 | floriduh voter

Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.

I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.

There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.

The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.

I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.

Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.

I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.

I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.

PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.

HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.

Thanks, FV

Advocates vow that the questions of civil rights and morality are going to win out.

"If there's any doubt, than life trumps death," said Donnelly, in Kansas. "I'm a quadriplegic, been that way for 28 years. I would hate for somebody else to decide my life is not worth living."

BIG bump.

"I really wanted to make sure we gave a default for life and not for death," said Kansas state Rep. Mary Pilcher-Cook....

It's so simple, isn't it? And yet the waters have been muddied.

Yes, Gramma. Utterly unbelievable in this day and age.

Terri was making such steady progress at Mediplex that the City of Bradenton, Fl had a "Terri Schiavo Day". I believe it was shortly after that, Terri was shipped back to Pinellas County and all the rehab was stopped by Michael and JUDGE GREER or JUDGE MARK SHAMES (who was smart and retired young) let Michael stop rehabilitation.

Isn't that just one example of gross malfeasance by a judge to participate in a scheme to stop the rehabilitation of a ward?????

Judge Greer should be impeached and I see that The Empire Journal has a new article re: Greer's impeachment.

Judge Greer will have to be impeached by the people who were anti-Kerry and who brought down Dan Rather.

Greer should just resign now like Dan Rather did. JUDGE GREER IS A BEAST WHO BROKE COUNTLESS LAWS AND JUDICIAL CANONS! I'm sick of his friends backing him up, including his D.C. friends. When something smells as bad as Greer, you throw him out with the trash. SAVE THE GOP. IMPEACH GREER.

Aaron Brown declines to receive an award from Compassion and Choices. (I went to their website and it is creepy with no contact us or about us or articles.)

Best wishes in your efforts to unseat the ridiculous people whom I hope feel even more ridiculous in light of the firefighter who had therapy and regained some activity.

I didn't see your post, but found that article and posted it in extended news, so people can see the proof of the CNN & NYT bias in reporting on Terri's case.

It's just heart breaking to read of all the progress she was making when she was "allowed" to have therapy. I didn't know that she had been using parallel bars. I had read about the speech therapy, and that she was saying words and attempting to communicate.

As far as her condition in the later videos, that was a direct result of no therapy being provided. She developed contractures. Anyone with the slightest medical knowledge will tell you "use it or lose it" is the standard rule. That's why therapy is so important.

Terri's rights as a disabled person were violated at every turn, neither MS nor the judge, had the legal right to deny her therapy, under Florida law. For that matter the judge did not have the right to deny her hydration and food, even by mouth. That's what made it murder.

They NEVER GAVE HER A CHANCE TO LIVE. They wouldn't even "allow" her to be TESTED to make sure that she was PVS before they killed her. They wouldn't let her be TESTED to see if she could swallow- She couldn't even have a simple test for that.
( These are the same sort of people who let Jessica Lundsford's killer out, and all the other pedophiles out, because they are so worried about pedophiles rights being violated. But- slowly execute, by refusing to provide any water or food, to a totally dependent disabled person. Her "crime" is that she can't feed or get water for herself- because of contractures, lack of therapy- Carry out the execution by denial of water and food, over an 11 day period, until she is dead........ Well, that's no problem for the "judges")

AND how about the fact that Michael Schiavo was HAVING PEOPLE PUNISHED, who provided any form of stimulation for her i.e. her brother and sister denied visitation because they played a CD of music for her. That should have raised red flags right there. It's just one of hundreds, maybe even thousands of incidents that point to the less-than-honorable intentions of MS toward his wife.

The sad thing is that people STILL don't understand what happened to Terri. I hear or read that "she was in a coma" of "brain dead". The case was so complicated it was difficult for the public to understand.

I hope her family will continue to speak out, for the sake of others like Terri. It seems that the case needs to be condensed into the most pertinent points.

To me they are- that there was no proof of her wishes, her husband also had huge conflicts of interest and should have been dismissed as her guardian a long time ago. If there's no written will hearsay, should NOT be enough to have someone killed.

The point people need to understand is that dehydration WILL KILL ANYONE. even a perfectly healthy person. It can be used as euthanasia.

You'd think all the seniors in Floriduh would be worried that. If they ever lose the ability to speak for and feed themselves, that a relative could walk into a court and say "she didn't want to live like this, she told me so. Stop feeding her giving her water, kill her" then collect the estate. You'd think they'd be worried.

Terri was never given a chance. i.e. they simply refused to look into weather she had recovered at more and was starting to respond ,as her family and some doctors claimed. They refused to let her be tested and executed her without even checking. I don't think a judge should be given the power to order someone to be starved /dehydrated to death period.

As for the progress notes of Terri responding to therapy, and her making so much progress that they had a special day for her at one of her rehab facilities, people need to know that.

I think it is crucial that we understand the exact nature of what was perpetrated on Terri by the judicial system, and what kind of condition she was in-i.e. the progress notes, speech therapy, special day named for her exc.

The myth of her being in a coma , has to be cleared up first, then maybe they will be able to understand why it was a hideous crime to let the judicial system, do this to her, or anyone, and that the laws MUST BE CHANGED TO PROTECT THE DISABLED.

The first step in preventing it from happening again, is understanding what happened in the first place.

Prayers for the Schindler family. Prayers for Terri for Justice.

The GOP House is not forgetting what the judges did to Terri.

House GOP plans strategy on federal courts

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1402249/posts

The planned legislative challenge to the courts reflects longtime conservative suspicion of the courts and displeasure over the courts' refusal to restore a feeding tube to Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged Floridian who died March 31.

"The GOP House is not forgetting what was done to Terri"

Good. I know I won't forget it. The only way for Terri to have Justice now is for them to open a full scale investigation into what happened, and to hold accountable those who ignored the law that led to her brutal 13 day long execution.

I can't help being disgusted by the thought that Serial Killer/rapist Michael Ross died a "peaceful death" in minutes, while a helpless, totally dependent, disabled woman whose only "crime" was that she couldn't feed herself, was forced to die an agonizing torturous death lasting almost two weeks. It still makes me ill to even think about the level of injustice that was done to her. It enrages me in fact. I still can't quite put in to words the depths of what I'm feeling.

I want people to understand what happened to Terri . I want them to know the truth, and be as outraged by it as I am.

One of the biggest problems is that Terri's case can't be explained in a 5 minute news segment. The death freaks have the advantage in that. They toss around "coma", and "vegetable" "Life support" "loving husband" and people have an image of a non-responsive comatose patient on a respirator, her "loving husband" wanting to pull the plug and her desperate family not wanting to "let her go".

The lazy, useless press parrots the death freak lines with no investigation. The public buys this scenario and sides with the husband.

But, none of the previous description could be further from the truth-i.e. HINO suddenly remembering, after 7 years and a lawsuit settlement for "loving husband" to care for her, for the rest of HIS LIFE, that Terri "wants to die by dehydration/starvation, that the only proof of Terri's "wishes" is based entirely on hearsay, that husband lives with another woman and has two children by her, while still married to Terri, that she had shown response, improvement in previous therapy, until HINO recovered his "memory" and stopped all therapy, that there was trouble in the marriage up to the night of the "collapse" , tons of court testimony where HINO conflicts his own statements, exc....and this is not even getting into the corruption angle.

.Terri's family needs to come up with a condensed version of events that offer the best rebuttal's to the lies of the death freaks. I hope Terri's family will keep pursuing Justice for her. People must understand what went on, so that it can be prevented from EVER HAPPENEING AGAIN.

I would like these "judges" to answer for what they did -to the Congress. They could have saved her life. Why didn't they? What kind of miserable-excuses-for-Human-Beings are they? The law that was passed and signed by president Bush would have been the logical solution to the problem. The judges spit in the faces of the Congress, and spit in the face of an innocent disabled woman and her family with their arrogance. I want them to know what they did. I want everyone to know what they did.

I hope the Schindler's will pursue Justice any way they can. I think one of the reasons the scum bag brothers (Schaivo's) are claiming that the Schindlers were after money, is because they fear a wrongful death lawsuit, so they are trying to shame them into not filing one

If she was my daughter, I would sue everyone on the planet, not so much for money, but for the finding of fact that goes with it. There was so much smoke and mirrors used to cover up the truth- I'd want people to know the truth.

That said, I have to admit that the Schindler's are much better Christian's than I am. They have handled everything with grace , dignity, and a sense of faith in God that amazes me, and has been a lesson to me. I know they will do whatever their faith leads them to do

Pray for Justice For Terri

Add to my previous post- the first important fact for the public to know about Terri is that she had NO TERMINAL ILLNESS. She should have never been in a Hospice. In fact she was admitted without the proper signatures. Placing her in a Hospice allowed the public to be fooled into thinking Terri had a terminal illness. She was on NO MACHINES, not taking medication, not even using oxygen. She breathed on her own. She had been alive FOR 15 YEARS UP TO THAT POINT she was in good health.

SHE DIED BECAUSE SHE WASN'T ABLE TO GET FOOD OR WATER FOR HERSELF. SHE DIED OF DEHYDRATION- NOT A TERMINAL ILLNESS. SHE DIED BECAUSE SHE WAS DEPENDENT ON OTHERS TO GIVE HER WATER. NO ONE GAVE HER WATER. POLICE WERE IN THE ROOM WITH GUNS TO MAKE SURE NO ONE GAVE HER WATER. THAT'S WHY SHE DIED.

As the priests who visited her said- there was a flower in the room that had water, but no one would give Terri any water. Before the 13 day execution started, I bet Terri didn't have so much as a cold.

Good posts. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one still enraged. This is definitely something that will stay with me the rest of my life. Execution is the right word for what happened to Terri and I am waiting for similar punishment for those who did this to her. We must never give up because of Terri, her family and what is right.

I am also enraged. At the very least they could have allowed Terri's parents bring in another doctor for evaluation. And what a horrible way to die.

A lot has been made of police handcuffing a little girl who obviously went berserk or was insane and might have injured herself or others. Yet nothing is said of the well-behaved boy who was handcuffed and taken away when he tried to bring water to Terri.

You know Dante3, it just doesn't make sense! How can anyone be so cruel, so hardhearted not to allow a mother a chance to take care of her child? I hate cruelty to animals, but for the life of me when I hear a celebrity taking up their cause I just want to scream where were you when a human being was dying? I wonder why all the Senators who voted for Terri's law didn't speak up, didn't they really care? I'm so afraid of the answer. No one seems to care about anyone but themselves. And it all comes back to the almighty dollar. Hospice seems to want peoples money more than they want to save their lives.

I can't understand it either - to not even allow a mother to put water on the lips of her dying child, as Martin Katz pointed out. Judges have run amok in this country. They rule, and no one in power cares enough to stop them.

Yes, GREER Must be Impeached! He sentenced an innocent, healthy woman to a hideous death with No Appeals Permitted. Just think a Judge who is legally blind, how can he serve justice when he CAN'T READ, and he CAN'T Even know what he is signing. How does he stay current on legal matters, when he can't even read. Would anyone of Us entrust our lives to a couple of Pilots that are legally blind??? A legally blind Judge(JINO) is beyond the realm of comprehension.
