I was building on an idea from another poster, but heck ya, I am ready to see if it is the PARTY or the elected legislators that is the problem---

I was just on a thread about a split in the HOUSE GOP about the Social Security bill---some of the GOP want a separate personal account, while others want it like Bush, using part of already deducted Soc. Security amounts, so I am coming to the conclusion that on a LOT of subjects, the GOP have competing factions of moderates and conservatives...

Therefore, we the voters have some questions that need to be answered...what WE should do, also.

Oh excuse me for not liking to be insulted by your "lack of oxygen" post to me ------- You came here with the intention of causing trouble by "policing" language ------- But I started it .. sure .. whatever

Hey "hottie"...................... DID YOU OR DID YOU NOT initially begin these needless bad vibes between us with your arrogant comment to me..."back off"? Try to answer that simple question!

You still have not explained to me what I was supposed to "back off" of ........... or for WHAT reason.

You seem to be just another angry, irritated woman with an attitude and your menacing is destructive to this site. And ..... if you're a male...... God help you.

Free Republic, to me, is the center of the universe, the finest site in the country............. you help to corrupt this place with you misdirected "instructions" such as "back off".

Explain yourself, explain that silly and arrogant comment to me or..... just be SILENT............. or should I just say, "back off"?

;-)

*********

Hey younzer ............ what's this poster's game?

GREEN WEENIE GUY .... the Bucs aren't dead yet. ;-)

Not sure why you felt the need to bring Petronski into this

Yes I did .. I never denied it and if you'll note in my last post to you .. I explained that I did it because of your "policing" Howlin's language.

You seem to be just another angry, irritated woman with an attitude and your menacing is destructive to this site. And ..... if you're a male...... God help you.

Whatever

I agree, he is all of the above

But, I still don't see a need to drag him into something he was not a part of

I will say that I had Hugh Hewitt on in the car enroute and while he mostly spoke about the Pope he also had Frank Gaffney on for a segment and they addressed the Bolton business.

Just saw this article by Frank Gaffney:

Anger Mismanagement
The committee gang against John Bolton

Excerpt:

Consequently, President Bush should serve notice on the Senate: Complete whatever further investigations now indicated and vote the Bolton nomination in the Foreign Relations Committee and on the floor of the Senate before the upcoming May recess. Or face a recess appointment of Bolton that will enable him to get to work at the United Nations while senators are engaging in constituent services and other important matters outside of Washington.

I fully expect Dems to dig up rumor and innuendo about Mr. Bolton that includes sexual harassment. If folks think the concerns that were raised yesterday were the end of it, well, they're smoking crack. By the time the FRC takes up a vote again in Mid May, there will be even more dirt being made up/blown up.

My mom has told me this and I have heard it on Hannity as well. The Democrat Party AND the Republican Party have moved to the left, which is leaving a big portion of the conservative population without a true voice. Most Republicans overlook the fact that conservatives provide them with the power.

If there was someone that could unite the true conservatives, I truly believe that a third-party candidate could be elected. Heck, Perot could have been elected if he didn't bail out like Clinton told him to. Not that Perot was THE man, but a good example of how a third-party underdog could actually win.

I wonder, considering the fact that Bolton will prolly be subjected not only to more unproven bad acts and innuendo, if he would agree to letting Bush just name him during the next recess (a recess that makes his confirmation hearing be 2-3 weeks instead of sooner, BTW) as a recess appointment!!

I know that recess appointments are only for a fiscal year, or something, but if Bolton would agree, I think it would shove all this crap right back at the Dems and the Reps that have stalled this---if they had voted this out of committee yesterday, the DEMS might have had a chance to talk enough Reps into voting against him, to keep him out of the job completely!

Recess appointments may be the only way Bush gets ANY of his nominees through--shoot various Senators, Dem and Rep, are holding up 3 other cabinet level nominations right now.

I saw on another thread that Bush is going to nominate Peter Pace to take Joint Chiefs job when Gen. Myers retires. It says that a MARINE had never been named Joint Chiefs Chair before---

Like I said on that thread, I bet the dems could dig up thousands of Marines that would have to testify that Pace has yelled at them!!! LOL

After posting my last post to you, I went back and read part of the thread that I hadn't read--

I noticed that cyncooper provided a link to Frank Gaffney's column and HE suggested the same thing I did, recess appointment for Bolton---

Wouldn't that be delicious????

BTW, thanks for posting that article, cyn, it was really good---I hope Dubya reads it!!!

Roy Moore?? Or Pat Toomey?? They would get my vote in 08, just cuz I'm pissed right now. Especially if GOP doesnt nominate a true conservative, like Pataki or Giuliani, or McCain.
