The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long

B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.

D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse -  the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.

D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.

G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located

D-4 = Township of Montana is where Joran lives

F-7/8 = Hooiberg (Haystack Mountain) - The 2 Kalpoe brothers live in this area at the foot of the Haystack Mountian.

C-9 = By the Natural Bridge on the map is the location where the sharks hang out as they are fed at this location. This is the Shark Infested Feeding Area.

E-3 = Wetland in the Bird Sanctuary is the location where they found the Condoms/Condom Wrappers - Duct Tape (looked like black electrical tape to me) - Female Flowered Panties - and a String or Strap from a Bikini or Halter Top.

I was thinking that a Mountain Lion took the boy and the one from last year also. Latest news from Aruba doesnt look good for Natalee though. Looks like young Urine killed her and asked for Daddy to help him get rid of the body.

The DJ might not be involved but just simply got a call from one of them trying to find out about currents or where to get a boat. The call to the DJ I believe was made early in the morning about 6am.

I think Daddy VDS helped them (mainly Joran) get rid of her body. There are rumors that Joran was in school on Monday (unconfirmed) and right now no one is saying if he showed up on time for school on Monday. So maybe Daddy did the clean up job for Joran.

I also do not think the 2 brothers are in as deep as Joran, but that Deepak might be.

Oh boy, you've had the best of the dog world! Dachies and now Belgian Malinois! Alas, it's true that my dachsies only come when called, when they think it's their idea...(I have food, or treats.) I was busy typing last night and my daughter came in and said, Look behind you! The gang had torn the stuffing out of a large pillow, quietly, right there on 'our' bed. No shame, either. I'm fascinated by the thought of a really, really sensitive dog. Dachsies are sensitive, as you know, if yelled at or spanked, even a tiny swat. I had greyhounds for some years, and they were sensitive characters. Not even a tiny swat allowed. I suspect a former trainer of at least one grey I had, had used a cattle prod on her. Horrible thought.

Brigette, it is inconceivable to me that Daddy had amnesia trying to recall if he got Joran up for school that morning. It was a black out. THAT is not a good sign. Could be just that alone is causing them to bring Paul VDS back in for more interrogation.

OTOH, we all realize by now, they can arrest anyone without reason down there...maybe they don't have one?

Greta was really funny earlier today with Shep. He wanted to know what she was going to do this afternoon and she wouldn't say because CNN is always trying to scoop her story.

She will probably have a good show on tonight. She just missed the police taking in daddy this morning.

I'm glad the EquuSearch teams have arrived with the dogs. The longer time goes by without thorough searching the less chance there is of finding her.

The father is officially detained, due to the investigation. They speculate it is because of the interfering in the investigation, but the official says, no he is detained because of possible involvement in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

We have contacts in Aruba that are saying that maybe Steve Croes and the 2 Surinam brothers will be released, seems it is being focused now on van der Sloot family.

CNN is reporting that Aruban sources are saying that Paulus Van Der Sloot is being arrested an accessory after the fact because the Kalpoe’s are saying they made up the “drop off at the Holiday Inn ” story and Paulus (father) may have assisted Joran (son) in that story or supported that story. He will be facing a 6 hour interrogation.

Mariaine Cruz, spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office, told MSNBC that the elder Van Der Sloot was taken into custody at about 2 p.m. Aruba time. Cruz said the arrest was “based on the reasonable suspicion that he is involved in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. He is currently under interrogation at a police station.”

According to Cruz, Aruban law allows police to interrogate him for six hours, then prosecutors have the ability to hold him for an additional period of 48 hours if it is determined that he has additional information vital to the case.

Paul Van Der Sloot had previously been questioned by police about the case, but it is not known what was discussed at that previous interrogation.

He seems to have selective amnesia about those early hours of Monday morning. If he was out at 3am it wasn't to get a burger that's for sure. If that can be proven those two are toast.

Hey, forget calling dachsies with treats if they smell a rabbit. They do have a ranking system, you know... and rabbits are higher up than any treats we might provide.

Malinois are very cued in to what matters to you, while Dachsies are much more independant. My male dachsie would "tip-toe" past me on rainy days so he could "pee" on the stair landing, rather than get "it" wet outside... really was kinda funny when you saw him trying to pull it off.

My Malinois would rather die than pee in the house. And, all they need to see is a frown on your face to try to figure out how to please you. They are the easiest dogs in the whole wide workd to train... so easy that it isn't a good idea to take them to "dog classes"... for they learn by watching! We do not need to expose them to other dogs being clueless.

All it takes to teach a Malinois something is five minutes. They are that quick, but the downside is trhat they get very bored, and long training sessions just do not work for them. If you push the training session too long, they start to goof off. Not at all like dachsies, where it takes forever to get it into that hard little head that it is your way, not their way.

Anyway, to keep this thread-related, I will bet that Malinois are in the dog group they are trying to get into Aruba, and they know better than to put these dogs in cargo. I would NEVER do that to one of my Belgians, for it would totally mess up their heads. These dogs need to be close to their "beloved" humans at all times.

I guarantee you, that if they are using Belgians, the owner/handlers are very used to having these dogs "velcroed" to their hip at all times, even in the bathroom. Both of mine follow me everywhere, including there, ansd watch with worried eyes until I have completed my mission.

There were people interviewed last week on Fox that owned bloodhounds who offered their services. Their child (I think) was murdered and could have been saved if bloodhounds were used in the search right away. If Aruba had used this type of tracking dog right away chances are they would have found her immediately unless she was put in the ocean. Even then, the dogs would probably lead to the beach.

I doubt she knows the real truth, or she should get an Academy Award for that performance interview w/ Greta.

She did seem pretty convincing, but it will be interesting to see how she reacts to the news that her son did something awful to Natalie and her husband "mr.shy" (ha) helped him out in some way......

Also it was pretty telling last night when they had Natalie's stepdad/uncle? on w/Greta and he was saying how Joran "the school boy" was out gambling the next night, clubbing, and he has his own apt? sheesh

The key to this paragraph is that they are saying Paulus MAY HAVE ASSISTED Joran with that story or supported the story. I don't know?? Someone is not telling the truth about all of this. Maybe now that Daddy is in custody, he can help both himself AND his son if they are both innocent.

I'd sure like to know exactly WHEN Joran told the brothers to MAKE UP the story about the Holiday Inn and why? AND how did he get home from the beach by himself?
