The problem with leasing one of our islands is our ACLU, Howard Dean and all of the Rats in Congress, and the left wing MSM mediots would whine 24/7 and blame Karl Rove and Haliburton.
That area would be great to drop them off for r&r for a few years.
I'm so thankful that the Georgia legislature did some Congressional Disctrict line-tweaking, and that I'm now in the 6th (where I used to be, Newt's old district), instead of the 4th.

The man has a long history of socialist politics...to the extent even the left wing Labour party kicked him out a couple of years back. He has been around the London political scene for many many years and used to be head of the old GLC (Greater London Council)... the original "local" government.
I wasn't trying to be silly. The statement looked to be overly PC to me.
When I was at university, one letter to the editor in the school rag complained that a picture of a sampling of the student body did not show enough "diversity" because it did not show any Asians of the type that one would see in Iran. Since, to me, "Asian" is a description of race, not geographical origin, such a statement reeks of racism--as in, this Iranian letter writer is so infused with anti-white hatred that she cannot bear to admit that she is caucasian, and must identify herself with Asians (i.e. Chinese, Filipinos, etc.) instead.
I will now admit the possibility that Brits may mean "Asian" as a statement of geographical origin, not race, much the same way I would use "European."

Good idea, but I think that you meant to say that they should be deposited 5 miles away from the island.
It looked to me like the guy was on roller blades. Did anyone else see that? Maybe that's why he tripped. I could be mistaken, just thought I saw roller blades.
Fox News just reporting that Mayor of London says the man shot had no bomb.
I wish there was a lockdown on these reports....they do a lot of damage. I want the police to take no chances.
I just heard on Fox News that there are unconfirmed reports that the "asian" shot 5 times was found NOT to be carrying any explosives.
As I said, however, it has not been confirmed. He is the suspect from yesterday.
Just do a Hilo drop somewhere in the vicinity of the island. 5 miles is a good minimal distance.
The police had good reason to be following this guy....and could take no chances of him hurting civilians.
