Welcome AI. Hope you have a great trip. Enjoy it all and take lots of pictures. Just don't take pictures of bridges, buildings, landmarks, points of interest, moonbats, military installations, under age children, hippy biker chicks or liberal politicians. Other than that, have at it.
;o)

I would send someone first to the monkey cages at the zoo, like putting one's toe in the tub before relaxing on one's back.

Welcome!! I do hope you enjoy your visit. You could spend days at the Smithsonian and learn a lot about America. Be sure to check out the restoration of Old Glory while you are there.</p>

Welcome, and enjoy your stay! A friend of mine just got back from DC, it is very hot, even by South Florida standards! DC is a very interesting place, alot of history (well, for Americans, history is only a few hundred years old), and alot of "powerful people" there. On the other hand, parts of it are nasty, stay away from those areas (use common sense).
My job often takes me to DC, its a shame I am not going to be up there at the same time, then we could have a big Freeper party. Have fun!

Since others are suggesting museums, I'll suggest the Metropolitan Museum of Art ("The Met") in NYC, and the National Gallery in DC. If you do go to the NG, make sure to see Cole's
Voyaye of Life. (The
third painting in the set of four is so me!)
My previous offer still applies.

Should have made plans to visit more states. NYC and DC are very bad choices if you want to see what this great country is really like. Put simply those places are "wretched hives of scum and villainy".
Head out west and south next time and we'll show you American hospitality -> BBQ and a trip to the gun range. :)
