Lots of people have mini-strokes, some frequently. It might be nothing more than turning the head so an artery is momentarily constricted. Can happen at any age.

Sounds like a TIA to me sometimes referred to as mini strokes. He will probably have to take a low dosage asprin daily for the rest of his life.
The primary concern at this point from a medical standpoint is WHY the TIA occurred.
Without targeting that, the spells are very likely to continue.
Sounds like the Lord is giving him a warning shot off the port bow

In the 60's there was a TV show called "The Invaders". The aliens in the series, who looked human, used a small hand-held device to induce heart attacks in people who discovered the aliens true identity. Could Karl Rove.....? Naw! Better check Karl's pinky fingers.

Minor correction. Strokes are caused by blood clots or blockage in the brain. They can also occur in tandem with heart attacks, or from the collapse of an arterial wall.
Lack of blood and oxygen to the brain result from those events. You're spot on there.

As I recall, when the aliens were killed in "The Invaders" they dissolved into red flame, then dust... An intrepid reporter was tracking them down. Hmmmnn...
For three years (1999-2001) there was a SciFi channel show called "First Wave" where the aliens dissolved into red flame, then dust when they were killed... A man falsely convicted of murdering his wife (the aliens did it to set him up) was tracking down the aliens and their operation.
Seems a bit re-cycled.
