Mary Landrieu: I'll Punch Bush, 'Literally'
NewsMax.com ^ | Sept. 4, 2005 | Carl Limbacher

Sen. Mary Landrieu threatened the president of the United States with physical violence on Sunday, saying that if he or any other government official criticizes New Orleans police for failing to keep civil order in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - "I might likely have to punch him - literally."

"If one person criticizes [our sheriffs], or says one more thing, including the president of the United States, he will hear from me - one more word about it after this show airs and I - I might likely have to punch him - literally," Landrieu railed on "ABC's "This Week."

It is illegal to threaten the president with physical violence.

The Louisiana Democrat blasted Bush for neglecting the New Orleans levees, and demanded that he stop using the disaster for "photo-ops."

"The president came here yesterday for a photo-op," Landrieu charged, while surveying the disaster scene via helicopter with "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos in tow. "He got his photo-op but we are never going to get this fixed if he does not send us help now."

Landrieu also blamed Bush for cutting funding for levee improvement, before bursting into tears on camera.

In recent days, Louisiana officials have been criticized for bungling evacuation and rescue efforts. One of those officials, Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, is Sen. Landrieu's brother.

Uhh. . . What about Margaret Thatcher, Reagan's stalwart ally in the Cold War? Was she a 'weak woman'?
Condi Rice, IMHO, is better qualified to be President than anybody the 'Rats have fielded.

"The president needs to address this TODAY -- DIRECTLY. He needs to come out and lay the blame where it is due, and point out that the facts are the facts, and the attempts to make this humanitarian tragedy into a political game are reprehensible."

Ain't gonna happen. That is one of my sources of frustration with the president. He will NOT stand up to these people and b*tch slap them into a little bit if humility, when that is what is most desperately needed. We've been playing nice for far too long with these traitorous, socialist malcontents who are daily costing lives here and abroad in the name of "equity," "civil rights" and "peace." They can kiss my @$$. Either be a part of the solution or STFU, get out of the way and let the grown-ups handle it!

Whine whine whine. Moan moan moan. Whine. Wheeze. Moan.

Oh and by the way, the president never breathed a word critical of anybody about any of it. He said the results of the efforts are unacceptable, that is all.

The Dems threw a whole storm of pointless and entirely undeserved abuse at the man who insisted on a mandatory evacuation and thereby probably saved thousands of people's lives, and he thanks all of them for their efforts and says "we are good".

And they whine. And they whine. "So other people were mean to me, they pointed out we didn't call for the buses" etc. So, for the nth time, the new commie-catechism "It's Bush's fault!" Whaaa. Whaaaaaa. Whaaaaaaa.

What world-historical wankers.

I have a feeling they're not as worried about re-election as they are with the Feds and Congress digging into NO & LA to see why this all happened

Bullseye, 50 points. The Bush blame will go on for weeks. The investigation into the real thing will go on for years and just keep on giving.

Louisiana Democrat's run the place, but all the blame is for those outside Louisiana. Gimme a break. When we have hurricanes in Florida the media goes after the first Republican they can find - and it our case it's Jeb Bush. But in Louisiana, dems run the place, so the media looks higher...

Ain't that agin' the law? Can I threaten to punch the President of the United States and get away with it?

This is just the beginning. I'm predicting a massive political movement by Democrats and media in branding Bush the chief cause of the chaos in NOLA. Ultimately, all this will result in an angry, violent movement in predominately black areas of the US. I predict a rash of race riots. Prepare yourselves.

Actually, I heard President Bush PUT that hurricane there in the first place, using the Space Shuttle! And then he AIMED it straight at the most black people he could find!

I also heard that the reason the airport is still open in New Orleans is so that the Republicans could all evacuate in their PRIVATE JETS! Really! They are all at Halliburton's company picnic this weekend, laughing it up and planning to steal more votes!

/sarcasm, of course

Now you can see what PC politics brings about:

NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES!!

Elect an incompetent governor because she's a woman, a Black mayor because he's Black, and an attractive woman Senator because she's an attractive woman, and what does it all add up to? Massive incompetence. Yes, it is wonderful for people of all genders, backgrounds, and colors to get a piece of the action when it comes to power and leadership, but not because of their backgrounds but based on their accomplishments and qualifications. Lacking these can end up, as it did here, electing people who are clueless when the going gets tough, and literally costing lives.

And this applies not only to Louisiana, but so many other areas of our nation. Elect people for their competence and qualifications, not because they are of a certain backgound, gender, or color.

I can hear the pinheads on the left conferencing now, "The unelected president didn't sign the Kyoto treaty so this hurricane occured as he planned so the oil companies can raise they're prices and make big money for the Bush family and their Saudi friends. This is why he concocted the war in Iraq, in order to send the Lousiana National Guard out of the state during the crisis thus causing the mostly minority population of New Orleans to suffer and die. Then he'll call in his buddies at Haliburton to gouge the goverment with obscene contracts to rebuid everything at the most expensive time-consuming rate as possible. After this the military industrial complex will seize everything..."

If she doesn't shut her mouth and quit slandering and using photo-ops to slander my President, can I say that I'll punch her?
Who in the sam hill does she think she is?! Any of them?
The dirtied their own diaper and instead of changing it, they just want to sit in it and throw it on everyone else.

Come on to my house, Little Bo Peep.

The new Department will also prioritize the important issue of citizen preparedness.

How do you think NO did in executing their part of the plan? Good use of city transportation, or haven't you seen the hundreds of unused buses that are underwater? How about the centers where they directed these poor souls? Were they stocked with a couple of days of food and water as they were supposed to be? What are your feelings about the Governor refusing to turn over the evacuation and crisis management to the federal government as requested on August 26?

I could go on and on but I don't really delight in continuing to pummel someone when they are down. The facts here make your observations the equivalent of leading with your chin in a fight you have no business picking.

I sent her an email earlier. I know that she will not read it but I felt better after writing it. I asked her about all of the buses under water and the exec. order. I told her the blame should be placed on the people responsible-the mayor and governor. I also told her that it was illegal to threaten the President of the United State. There were a few other things but those were the most important.
