NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- The Pakistani roommate of a man authorities say died when he detonated an explosive device outside a crowded football stadium was led in handcuffs from a party shortly after Saturday's explosion, the head of an Islamic student group said.

Fazal M. Cheema, a finance major, shared a university-owned apartment with Joel Hinrichs III, 21, who died Saturday when a device attached to his body exploded as he sat on a bench outside George Lynn Cross Hall.

Cheema and three other Muslim students were led in handcuffs from a party by police after the blast, Ashraf Hussein, president of the Muslim Student Association, said Tuesday. They later were released...

...OU President David Boren said authorities continue to believe that Hinrichs... acted alone. He said Hinrichs' roommate, along with his acquaintances, were questioned by federal authorities...

The FBI said in a statement Tuesday that there is no current threat posed by additional explosive materials, that there is no known threat from anyone else related to the incident and that there is no known link between Hinrichs and any terrorist or extremist organization or activities...

Meanwhile, Norman feed store operator Dustin Ellison said Hinrichs attempted to purchase ammonium nitrate a few days before the explosion...a key ingredient in the 1995 attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

The FBI told [Hinrich's father]...more high-density hydrogen peroxide was found in the apartment.

I just realized it was a university-owned apartment....

Did he have a cell phone and was a call made just before the explosion?

Guess you are speaking of .....a man authorities say died when he detonated an explosive device outside a crowded football stadium

. I have not seen anything posted that would answer that question !

What the Hell was the party about?

And did Cheema know he would have to find a new room mate?

Maybe the young America Jihadist chickened out and after he set down. His backpack bomb got a cell phone call, and he went boom.

DelGiorno lost a lot of credibility due to his rants about Chris Medlock, not that I'm a Medlock fan at all. I had to change the dial. I have listened to him for many years, but lately he needs to take some blood pressure meds. Didn't he get sued for slander recently?

Don't let this story die! I hope that the illogicality of the line of you-know-what that they're feeding us will shine through so that the citizens of Oklahoma can get rid of any terrorist organizations in our midst.

University of Tulsa student body should be included in the investigation.

Am I wrong, but isn't this bombing the same day/date as the Bali bombing? October 1, 2005.

What's the date's signficance?

Yup, almost no one I've spoken to has heard a single word about this....guess the suicider just taking out himself didn't get the minimal body count threshold to be reported.

I was joking with my wife that maybe he used his personal phone as the detonator and the bomb went off prematurely when his mom called to see how he was doing.

Probably a typical all nighter full of a bunch of rich Pakistani brats. Typically quite lavish, lots of booze, etc.

I think we all realize that there's a need for secrecy while the investigation continues.

However, the authorities are asking people to swallow ridiculous stories.

Why don't they come out and say that while the investigation is ongoing, they can't say anything?

Instead of these ridiculous spins that are being put on this and other incidents. How many times can they say with a straight face that it's a loner, an isolated incident, etc.

This has been going on now for over 10 years. One incident after the other.

Haven't they learned by now? It only invalidates those running this show, and it makes those of us who are paying attention, lose faith in their ability to secure the situation.

I don't think it's asking too much of those who we elect, and to whom we fork over half of our income, to give us a reason to trust them.

Fazal M. Cheema, a Pakistani student, shares apartment that is loaded with WOT. How can he not somehow be connected. Isn't there clauses in the Patriot Act that would allow investigators to hold onto those three muslim student a bit longer, instead of just releasing them. If they disapper not to be found in a few weeks, then somebody's damn head better roll on this one.

At a minimum, I would be asking the following line of questions. Who constitutes Fazal's circle of friends - is he part of the typical Pakistani student "in crowd?" Did he bring the perp to Pakistani parties? Was the perp an "honorary Pakistani" hanging out with that particular clique? If yes to all these, are there individuals within said clique who might be embedded Al Qaida or ISI operatives? Etc.

I wonder if anyone at the FBI ever reads Free Republic. Seriously, it might help them in their investigations.
