Cool, Bush will not doubt let Ted Kennedy write his immigration bill, just like he let Ted Kennedy write his Education bill.

Kennedy was primarily responsible for the last amnesty for illegals program-- if I remember right. That program was supposed to solve the problem. It helped create the current fiasco, instead.

Kennedy is to amnesty and illegals as McCain is to campaign finance reform.

[Can't these guys just play golf and go have some drinks at the country club and quit coming up with programs that don't work?]

Kennedy wrote the initial immigration bill in 1964 that opened our boarders and put us in this mess in the first place.

I think we can expect Bush and Co. to do nothing on the boarder issue and need to support the Minuteman program and take this private organization and turn it into the next IBM.

No new programs. Institute English as the official language.

What do you mean, KENNEDY pushes it? I've been watching Chertoff and Chao testify before the Senate this morning promoting the same idiocy.

For anyone who doesn't have the time to watch, or wants to spare their blood pressure, forget the idea of deportations. This entire panel is having nunofit. It's all temporary worker program, temporary worker program, temporary worker program, with all the trappings.

No doubt Bush will sign this. Like Laura Ingraham said that she did not think Bush would go lower than 40% approval rating, but with some of the things lately, its almost as if he is trying.

How about speeding up the process for LEGAL immigrants who have been stuck in 'wait' mode since the INS slowed down processing to a crawl. How about doing that first?

Now THERE's a thought worth working on. Why should those who do things according to the law be penalized? Some incentive to doing things the right way should be a first priority.

Bush approval at 39%; Congress approval 29%; satisfaction 31% (Gallup, Down from 45%)

Quisling: a synonym for traitor, someone who collaborates with the invaders of his country.

Oh goody. Then all the illegal terrorists who have infiltrated the country will be here legally to blow things up. America, a self-inflicted wound. We create our own problem, throw gas on the fire, close the door after the cows have left, etc. We are getting what we practice. We are getting what we elected. And, we are going to pay dearly for it. The damage has been done, the wound is festering and the limb will have to be cut off. There is probably no saving it. We are going to pay dearly for it.

Illegal immigration is going to cost America. It is going to completely change the landscape of America. English will become a second language. Spanish will become the primary language. The Republic as founded, will perish. We are getting out numbered by the day. I feel in my life time, I'm 54, that severe damage will cost this country. We are going to pay. They simply out number us and will continue to out number us. Kennedy wants them legal for their votes, nothing else, nothing.

I think we can now expect to see pictures of Teddy playing golf with Klintoon and Papa Bush.
It's all one big bipartisan happy family for the open borders crowd.

Here's some trivia for you, Trav. Quisling was executed on the day I was born. (And, yes, I am pimping for presents!)

Most here are so unrealistic that it is ridiculous. Kennedy asked Chertoff about deporting 10 million. Predictably, he outlined how difficult and expensive it would be. However, if you think of it as a process that can happen in stages, then side with the president who favors incentives to have them return home instead of a process that leads only to citizenship.
