What a day to have to be out! I've got a houseful of people and a big party and will be in and out until Saturday........dang it.

Ping me to the good stuff, please.

I see old Joe is making the rounds again; hopefully he's telling more lies every time he opens his mouth!

Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) (R), speaks about a rare closed Senate session to protest what Democrats decried as the Republican-led body's inattention to intelligence failures on Iraq and the leak of a CIA operative's identity, as Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) listens on Capitol Hill in Washington November 1, 2005. Invoking a rarely-used rule, Democrats temporarily shut down television cameras in the chamber, cleared galleries of tourists and other onlookers, forced removal of staff members and recording devices and stopped work on legislation. I would not be surprised if the Justice Department doesn't indict Jow Wilson, he has been on every liberal talk show lately and he is lying his ass off on everyone of them

I doubt that anything will happen to the Wilsons; unfortunately.

Reid is being fitted for his Straight Jacket as we speak. That man simply can't handle the job, and the boys in white lab coats will be coming for him soon

GOOD to see you, but I'm calling this one a night.

If you want to get really mad, turn on LKL now.

His guest: Joe Wilson.

..just called both my Senators..

Good for you! I called Reid's office to let him know his action was a disgrace and emboldens our enemies. I also called McCain's office to say he needs to stand united with Republicans. I emailed RINO's Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins to say the same. More Republicans should let their voices be heard!

Well, I heard something at home this afternoon after coming home from work about Schumer. THIS may get me banned for a few days. I am the custodian of my 80 YO mother. She was a German war bride of my father. My Father went all across N. Africa, Sicily, Italy, Austria, Germany to meet my mother in a town called Bamberg, GE.

She was so mad at Schumer today that she said he should have been gassed in a concentration camp!!! That's strange because the German people didn't know about this stuff during the war and hid Jewish people from the NAZIS.

Schumer does not represent the ideology of the Jewish friends we have on the west coast. I said no. I'm with Rush on this. Give Schumer his own 24-hour cable channel.

BTW, the qualified women I bring home to meet mom have a better time with her than with me. Except the last one:):):) You play the hand you are dealt.

This is a good thing. Alito is now filibuster proof.

That was my take on it.

There is a level of decorum and civility required in the Senate, and this would be like Reid crapping on the dinner table. All the Pubs and probably a sizeable number of Dems will be outraged by this loose cannoneering.

"Fine, issue the first subpoena to Joe Wilson. Put him under oath and let the American people see how he comports himself when confronted with the evidence."
"AMEN -Ditto. I have been advocating Wilson and Plame under oath on the stand in the Libby trial - better yet have the Senate do it - NOW"

While on one hand I agree that would be a good thing, OTOH, I don't have a lot of faith that either one of them would tell the truth, even under oath. They're both beyond the pale IMHO.

I saw Wilson being interviewed by Katie Couric. If that wasn't bad enough, he acted like his wife had been killed, not outed. His vitriole for W. was transparent. Huge axe-grinding going on. I think he's got some kind of dirt on himslf and is using attacks to cover it.

"...Democrats decried as the Republican-led body's inattention to intelligence failures on Iraq ..."

Yeah there was an intelligence failure, all right. The failure to send someone with brains to investigate the yellow cake claims. There is no way any agent, let alone an entire agency, know for certain that uraniam was not being sought after in an entire nation. Completely ludicrous. Not even James Bond in all his glory could have investigated a country that thoroughly, let alone some publicity whore like Joe Wilson.
