Nuno's sister is an artist who did the artwork for the cover of Greg Cherone's A Man Called Lincoln CD.

I don't disagree with some picks, but I disagree with placement.

I won't get into that, but there's no SRV or Johnny Winter in this list?

For having no SRV alone, I must reject this list.

While I admit that Page's solos were choppy and not great he did create some of the greatest riffs in Rock. Randy Rhodes was freakin awesome as was Van Halen.

I always found that Page, like Ritchie Blackmore's stuff in Deep Purple (but not with Rainbow), was sloppy and derivative.

Good point. Although Rainbow rarely got airplay (outside of a couple 'truncated' singles), Blackmore really tore the roof off on some of Rainbow's early albums, especially 'Rising' and 'Long Live Rock and Roll'.

Who's Greg Cherone? I'm pretty open-minded,if it's not a ton of feedback.

Peter Frampton? Anyone"

Actually a very decent guitar player, but ruined his rep with the Sgt. Peppers movie. I saw him in my youth on three occasions,76, 77, 78 and 26 years later again in LV and So Cal. He is not in the league of those players in the top ten, but definitely in the top 30 or so.

Even Terry Kath's solo in "25 of 6 to 4" was superior to Jimmy Page's sloppy work on Stairway.

I realize this is a thread about guitarists, but it was truly John Paul Jones and John Bonham that made Zep what they were. Page and Plant contributed very little musically.

John Paul Jones is one of the best rock/blues bass players of ALL time.

How about Glenn Tipton's solo in Victim of Changes? Rudolf Schenker? Alex Lifeson? Sheesh.
