Given that the average feminist looks like this:
What the hell do they need condoms for?
Water balloons?
Ithaca is the City of Evil.

What the hell do they need condoms for? No joke. I doubt that many of them want anything to do with guys.

I'm picturing big chicks with buzz haircuts, suspenders, and combat boots. Yuck.

I'm not quite sure what to think about this. Have Ithaca feminists abandoned the notion that heterosexual sex isn't rape? I thought they never encourage women to have anything at all to do with men. You mean it's OK for a woman to "love" a man? Fat Betty must be rolling in her grave.

Do you have a Ping List? May I be on it? I post stories about Madison, WI on a regular basis, which is equally as Evil as Ithica. ;)

fem·i·nism ( P ) Pronunciation Key (fm-nzm) n.
Belief in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes.
The movement organized around this belief.
This term is used so loosely. What woman in their right mind today is NOT a feminist???? You don't have to protest or burn bras in order to want to be equal.

Lest anyone assume I am proposing all sex be "unprotected" - let me say up front, it's all about choice. Disclaimer out of the way, reading this article caused a light to go off - does it strike anyone as an oxymoron that they are handing out condoms while insisting it is about taking control of one's own body?!
Or, is the casual observer to assume there's something under their clothing that requires a condom?

Back in the day, the Ithaca College girls had a nickname that started with "s" and it wasn't "students."
I wonder if there is a National Cigarette Filters week. I wonder if there are people at Ithaca College who promote Safe Smoking during that week?
Nah, I don't, not really.
\ If you really want to use that condom for safe sex, here's how. The woman puts the condom (still in its packaging) between her knees and holds it there until the man is gone.
Shalom.

ICFeminists efforts will culminate Tuesday with an event titled Valentines Day: Make Love, Not Babies, led by a representative from Planned Parenthood who will discuss birth-control options at noon in Textor 102. Pretty much sums up the cultural depravity syndrome being taught to American kids today: sterile, promiscuous sex without consequences, without committment, and without real love. Not a ticket to lasting happiness.

The dykes in North Hampton MA were handing out candy and lit that led to a Gay web-site to grammar school children. They were lucky they didn't get killed.

Why don't they hand them out in the Middle-East?
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Why don't they just call this event "Have an orgy on us?" It's what they are hosting.

Consider yourself a member of the ping list...however, Madison is a piker compared to Ithaca

FWIW, and this may have changed, but last I knew Tompkins County had some of the highest rates of STDs in Upstate NY.
Gee, wonder why?
Must be all that safe sex they're having.
Snort.

This term is used so loosely. What woman in their right mind today is NOT a feminist???? You don't have to protest or burn bras in order to want to be equal. I would respectfully submit that the type of woman that joins a college feminist group and hands out condoms and candy that looks like birth control pills bears little resemblance to the average American woman.

What? Noone else picked up on this little ditty!
National Condom Week dates back to 1978, when students at the University of California-Berkeley wanted to educate others about the risks inherent in sexual intercourse including AIDS,
/sarcasm on
Uhm, in 1978 a group of students at UC-Berkeley was aware of AIDS? Really? Wow... everything I had heard said it wasn't recognized or identified until 1981, at the earliest. Just amazing! Why didn't they warn (gay) people? I bet they were in collusion with Bush to help spread the disease! It's all Bush'es fault!
/sarcasm off

I agree.....the 'activist' is a little different from the 'feminist' per description.

As an average American woman, I agree with you.
