Okay, FReepers, intellectual honesty forces me to say it -- DICK CHENEY SHOULD RESIGN!
DFU commentary | 2-13-06 | Doug from Upland

Posted on 02/13/2006 8:26:25 PM PST by doug from upland

As many of you know, I have been a big supporter of this president. As commander in chief and one who has a clear and resolute vision of the war we are fighting, I love the guy. (Yes, we should have an emergency closing of the borders until we get them under control.) It is unimaginable to think that the current group of traitorous Democrats would be in charge. We might already be using prayer rugs several times a day.

I also love Dick Cheney. He is a steadying force and invaluable asset to the administration.

Well, as much respect as I have for both of them, this latest incident involving the Vice President has to make us wonder and evaluate our political loyalty.

Cheney shot a fellow hunter, he failed to observe required safety precautions, and he didn't have a valid $7 stamp on his license to hunt quail in Texas. What is even more egregious is that he didn't immediately get on the phone to tell the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Houston Chronicle, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, Dallas Morning News, Minneapolis Star, etc. That is unforgivable. How can Cheney get away with that?

So let me be the first FReeper to say it publicly. It is with heavy heart that I say it. Vice President Dick Cheney should resign. From the NRA.

Cheney's first mistake was in not asking Jimmy Carter to go wabbit hunting with him (and making sure Carter was wearing a special Elmer Fudd hat.)

Something that annoys me is that from the news I've read and watched, it's not being widely reported that the hunter had left and when he returned, he didn't announce his return. If somebody sneaks up on a hunting group, they're going to get shot.

I'll provide the slugs.

I really did not intend to beat you to it, though. What can I say (great minds and all)? ;)

Considering what happened he makes a bad spokesman for the NRA these days...

Was "he" a spokesman for the NRA. And, your grammar needs punctuation.

I think he needs a college reading course -- one where he'd learn that "the first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" is fiction, not policy!

Sorry Doug, I gotta disagree.

Vice President Cheney should not resign. Rather he should invite The Hildabeaste to go with him next time.

And pray for extra low flying quail J

So much for the gradual escalation. I thought maybe rifled slugs or a 10-guage was next in line. Hehehe.

So how long did it take for Hillary to apologize for running down a security guard? And how long did it take her to see how he was doing at the hospital? And how long did it take for the MSM to report it????

(all I hear is crickets)

And Bill Clinton should register as a sexual predator.

I'm of mixed mind about making people "register"......but if anybody qualifies, Slick sure does!

I've been to a few private hunting preserves in Iowa and South Dakota. Around here, any extra tax stamp needs to be collected by the preserve owner. Usually, this is completed and purchasd when the hunt is over and the hunters are paying the final bill!.

As a side note, I've had my tagline for a couple of years!

No, go back and attend a NRA sponsered hunter safety course, after passing the Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program.

Yes, he should resign. He failed to inform the media right away – the ultimate crime, lol.
