(Vanity) My Daughter Died One Year Ago Today

Posted on 02/15/2006 8:28:44 PM PST by MrsEmmaPeel

I have resisted posting articles about myself, but today hurts so much. I know there are many good folks on FR who have lost a child, and I grieve with you, too. My baby was just 16 years old. She was very bright (finished high school by 14). She was already selected for university. Her demise was kidney failure. She was funny, bright, beautiful, a rare, rare jewel. I have to think that she was so perfect, God needed her with him. But it still hurts. Mr. Peel and I miss her so.

I can't imagine what you are going through. God bless you and comfort you. I am going through kidney problems myself, yet I have already lived a long time, and it's not right for a young person to have to deal with something like that. Not right at all.

I almost lost my dad to kidney failure almost seventeen years ago. I cannot say I know how you feel, but I will say that I wish all of God's blessing upon you and your family.

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee. The Lord shew his face to thee, and have mercy on thee. The Lord turn his countenance to thee, and give thee peace (Numbers 6: 24-26)

Her demise was kidney failure.

Your post really affects me. I have a young daughter with some unknown kind of kidney malfunction. Could be nothing, could be disaster... We have nothing to do but wait (and keep her on the meds.)

I'm so sorry for you and your husband. The loss of a child has to be one of the hardest things to go through.

16 years of joy

You made me smile. Thank you for that. That's exactly what we had.

Prayers for you and the family. I lost a young wife several years ago and we were the proud parents of an only daughter.

I hope and pray I do not outlive my daughter.

God bless you.
