Freeper Research Project: Freeper personality tests
Jung Personality Test ^ | February 23, 2006 | Alamo-Girl

Posted on 02/23/2006 9:20:32 AM PST by Alamo-Girl

Would you like to learn a little more about yourself and your fellow posters on Free Republic? If so, you might enjoy this Freeper Research Project.

It began on another thread where people were testing themselves for “nerdiness”. Great fun was had by all.

Along the way, Freeper patton posted a link to the Jung personality test.

What an adventure! I took the test for the first time and found out I am an INFJ (I=44, N=75, F=25, J=25).

Because we were sharing the results of our tests on that thread, I was pleasantly surprised to discover three other Freepers with the same personality type. And, naturally, being curious – some of us went to yet another link to find out what the code means and what famous people are INFJs:

Type Logic

The strange part is that INFJ’s are the smallest in the general population, but among those posting on the thread, INFJs were in the majority. Does that mean that INFJ’s are drawn to Free Republic or to those kinds of tests, or are more willing to discuss such things?

At any rate, it is a delightful musing about this forum, the posters we are drawn to (or against): does the Jung personality test have anything useful to say to us?

If you are interested or perhaps would just like to have some fun, take the test and check out the results. And if you’re willing, post your results here on this thread so that we can all “compare notes”.

The results so far:

INFJ: Indy Pendance, Knitting a Conundrum, Grey-whiskers, Alamo-Girl

INTJ: John O (67,62,25,67), hosepipe (11,50,19,56), Cyclopean Squid (44,100,62,56)

INTP: marron

ENFJ: .30Carbine (1,50,75,22) , phantomworker (39,57,40,12)

"I just wish people would MAKE SENSE."

Yeahbut, then they wouldn't be people.

As I used to say, a long time ago, I wouldn't be judgmental if people weren't so stupid!

Me, too. What does it mean? Are we going to be locked up? Are we nuts?

if they die on me, they can still serve as an object lesson to those who yet live.

I don't think too highly of the Kiersey questionaire.

Could we rule the world? Maybe a group of us ENTJ's should get together and start our plans.....................

We'd probably have too many power struggles to work effectively as a team. All chiefs and no Indians Native Americans.

This is the funny thing about all the Introverts around here: If you ever got all of us in the same room, we may just sit around and look at each other.

That's assuming, of course, that all of us would notice the other people. The INTPs among us might be too busy trying to analyze the theoretical possibilities of the seating arrangements.

While I'm solidly in the NTJ catagory, I'm only borderline "E" at 1%. I could go back and fudge an answer and be an "I". Don't start any smokey backroom stuff without me now!

Yes, and we INTJs would be making plans based on the theoretical possibilities.

Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) is an ISFJ.

Yeah, but C.S. Lewis, William F. Buckley, Jr., Thomas Jefferson, Donald Rumsfeld, and Gandalf the Grey are all INTJs, so I win. ;^)

And, I'd just like the GRPL to know, so is Hannibal Lector. *evil grin*

I also appear to be the only ISFP here too.

Nope. I am one, too. I was beginning to feel lonely!

How accurate is this? ;-)

MBTI Type Descriptions (Funny)

ENFJ: "Busybody"
Life's backseat drivers. They seem to know just what's wrong with everybody else's life and have a plan to fix it.

INFJ: "Messiah"
Characterized by the burning desire to change the world, which desperately needs everyone to be NF.

ENFP: "Muckraker"
Creator of hype, distortion, and the perversion of media of information to be wallows of mindless emotionalism.

INFP: "Fanatic"
Always searching for an Answer with a capital A. Unlike the INFJ, they are usually openminded enough to realize the current one isn't good enough after a few years.

ENTJ: "Tyrant"
Knows better than everyone how things should be done and works tirelessly to obtain the power to make it happen that way.

INTJ: "Crackpot"
All facts which don't fit their theories are just wrong. The more all-encompassing and less applicable to reality the theories, the better.

ENTP: "Frankenstein"
The salvation of the world is to be found in this new nanotronic frannistan, of which he just happens to have an almost-working model...

INTP: "Nerd"
What? you mean people actually talk to each other using mouths and ears instead of keyboards????

ESTJ: "Stuffed Shirt"
No imagination, no flexibility, no common sense, no capacity for tolerance of others with different priorities.

ISTJ: "Bean Counter"
Like the ESTJ but with less vision.

ESFJ: "Gossip"
Like the Busybody, but characterized by the urge to backstab instead of trying to help.

ISFJ: "Sidekick"
Doesn't need much meaning in life, just a person (or baby or pet or car) to spend all their time ministering to.

ESTP: "Beer Drinker"
Loud, crude, plays team sports, kisses and tells. These are the people beer commercials are made for.

ESFP: "Clown"
Always the class troublemaker, they have no respect for anybody or anything. Good at snide wisecracks.

ISTP: "Assasin"
Hates people, and is good at killing them. Young ISTP's are good at killing pictures of people in video games.

ISFP: "Snob"
Revels in the elaborate sensations of wine and paintings and music that are completely indistinguishable to ordinary people. Likes flowers.

You don't watch "24" do you?

Lets get one thing straight, the only reason you are conscious right now is because Jack Bauer does not feel like carrying you.

Anudder INFP here (89 50 12 33). Makes me sound like something of a liberal, which, in my heart, I probably am.

Are you gay? INTP is the main gay personality type, and many gays are liberals.

It's okay, you can tell us! We wont judge you or tell anyone. We're just curious.
