I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.

Say what you will about J Lo... at least she has always maintained a normal weight and I think is very talented. Loved her in the Cell
I've been trying to think of that line from Brokeback about wishing he could get over the guy.
I love Russell Crowe. Whether he's tossing phones at hotel clerks or verbally abusing BAFTA producers who won't let him read his poetry on air, he definitely brings the entertainment. Now if only he'd throw a phone at Clooney, the night would be complete.

But Jon's kinda got that Johnny Carson thing going for him, where he can slide by the bombing of his jokes and still look fairly suave.
But, isn't Jon Stewart a member of the Liberal Lunatics? So, he's not exactly skewering them - but poking fun at himself and others.
If it was Charlton Heston (speaking of that - did you see those pecs - I digress) making fun of the libbies - that would be different!

It was named by Bette Davis' after she looked at the statuette's ass that sehe received in 1935 or 6, and said it reminded her of her first husband (she had four of them) whose middle name was Oscar. Needless to say, the so-called "Academy" has concocted another tale, but Bette insisted to her dying days that was the truth of it! I bet on Bette who had a sober view of Hollyweird and her own profession.
