Slobodan Milosevic Found Dead in His Cell

Slobodan Milosevic, the former Yugoslav leader who orchestrated the Balkan wars of the 1990s and was on trial for war crimes, was found dead in his prison cell at the U.N. detention center near The Hague, the U.N. tribunal said Saturday. He was 65.

Fox News said he appeared to have died from natural causes. One reporter mentioned Milosevic had a history of heart problems.

>>>>>>The immediate area around Srebrenica had a weak UN presence. The rest was a sea of Serbs.<<<<<<

Congrats ! "The Sea of Serbs". Triggers response of lone UN outpost in Korea war and sea of Chinese and North Koreans around it.

I have not seen better dirty propaganda trick for a long time on a FR.

The area around Srebrenica was sparsely populated, and Nasir Oric and Co. made it even less populated.

Your contributon to the lie about Srebrenica is signifficant. I thought it can not be perfected.

"This is not finished. Serbs will have to accept the responsibility of the death of 200 000 of Bosnian Muslims, 100 000 of Croatians and 200 000 of Muslim Albanians."

Jeez, there you go again, just like the Yugoslavs after WWII, inflating numbers. Total number killed in Bosnia was somewhere between 90,000 and 100,000.

I am with you. And I think that even 90,000 and 100,000 is exaggerated (maybe 20 - 30 000 on all sides).

My point is that Serbs will be under pressure to accept the false and huge number JUST BECAUSE IT IS FALSE. The 1984 torturers wanted Wilson to accept that 2 and 2 is 5 for the same reason.

In addition Serbs will be forced to pay huge reparations to Muslims and Croats. That way they will not be able to develop economically and possible their country will depopulate. "Their" leaders will appointed from abroad under the cover of managed "democracy".

They do not separate out the Muslim-Croat conflict casualties.

I've read most of a book by a Scottish man, John MacPhee, "The Silent Cry", who was also well known to UN officials and who fought for the Croat special forces. He admits to and describes killings of Muslim men - he and the Croats operated beind enemy lines, and made it past guards to kill sleeping men in their barracks - both Muslims and Serbs.

He also killed civilians - including women, by mistake or collateral damage. There was a lot going on in that war that was not said in the mainstream media at all. It was fought much differently than what the mainstream media tries to project.

I'd say 80-100,000 is a fair guess. 20-30,000 is far too low.

You need to take into account that every year about 1/70 part of population has to die. The number of killed can be easily inflated if you count/bury all dead in same locations.

The territory was Serb populated!

It is easy to confuse the size of the area with the size of population. It is true that Serbs inhabited the most of area of Bosnia, but Muslims were more numerous. The reason is that Serbs were more rural and most of Muslims lived in cities. Same way Vermont, New Hampshire and Main make most of the area of New England while Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island make most of population. It does not meant that northern part was aggressive and captured the land from the south.

And ten villages around the town do not make a "sea".

Everyone knows that the Holocaust happened. Even the deniers know they are lying. Not to mention that 6 million were killed in the Holocaust and "only" a few thousand at sebrenica, if the massacre happened at all.

"Seems nothing has changed, the muslims are killing Christians as they always did... "

Yep, killing Christians (and Jews) seems to be a favorite past-time for the Muslims.

You have clearly stated you side with the Serbs. That's fine and well. Others in here side with the Croats, Bosnians, Kosovars, Albanians, Slovenians, Macedonians, or Montenegrians

There is not one side in the Yugoslav wars that is completely innocent of unspeakable atrocities, whether it was Nazis, Muslims, Communists, the UN, or NATO, and you know it.

I do not favour any particular side, they are all guilty of horrific war crimes.

Yugoslavia, the Balkans, that entire land bridge between East & West, Christian and Muslim, is a tragedy within a continuing tragedy.

"Serbs made up a majority of the partisan soldiers - though not of the partisan leadership - (Serbs were also Chetnik royalists) these were the only two groups fighting the Krauts in Yugoslavia in WWII (Chetniks at the beginning of the war, then they stopped to avert reprisal massacres against civilians, the communists the entire war.) Croats and Muslims were mostly collaborators...."

Al, I do not dispute the historical facts you stated. You are fully correct.

In fact Tito would not have been able to assume power and set up a Communist dictatorship in Yugoslavia if it were not for the fact the Allies pulled the plug on the Chetnik royalists, and as a result [some] Chetniks sided with the Kraut invaders.

My only point was that is not one the various faction which were clean in all the Balkan wars. Not one.

Actually, yes. Soros screwed the Bank of Englad for his money. Easy to make that kind of money if you know how to manage it and invest. In the rest of the world (as opposed to the Balkans), people do get rich without state influence. It's called 'capitalism'.

How many years is it they have been trying to pin something on him?

Good question. The trial went on and on, and they could never draw it to a satisfactory conclusion. Satisfactory from their point of view - there was never even a pretence that the accused might be found innocent.

'Leprosy drug in Milosevic's blood'

'Leprosy drug in Milosevic's blood'

Traces of a drug used to treat leprosy and tuberculosis were found in a blood sample taken in recent months from former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, a news report has said.

The report came hours after Milosevic's legal adviser revealed a letter the late Serb leader wrote on Friday, one day before his body was discovered in prison, alleging that he was being poisoned.

In the report by state broadcaster NOS, a lawyer and commentator for the channel, Heikelina Verrijn Stuart, said she had confirmation that doctors first noticed the medicine in his blood in January.

Stuart said the drugs interfered with other medicine Milosevic was taking for high blood pressure and vascular disease.

"They were counterproductive," said Stuart, a lawyer who has closely followed the proceedings. "What we do know is that this is the cause of death and you can't say that it was really a case of natural death."

Stuart said the tribunal only learned of the presence of the drug in his blood last week, on March 7.

"It's naturally a riddle," she said.

Dutch doctors conducted a post mortem examination on Milosevic's remains on Sunday, but the results were not expected to be released until Monday.

A tribunal spokeswoman said she could not comment on the news report. "We don't have any information. We simply have to wait for the results" of the autopsy report, said Alexandra Milenov.

Doctors found traces of the drug when they were searching for an answer to why Milosevic's medication for high blood pressure was not working, the report said.
