Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

McCain will not win the GOP nomination in 2008. He will be knocked out in the primaries by conservatives. He is not popular among real conservatives here in AZ; John Kyl is much more popular. I think our nominee will be George Allen or Mitt Romney, although Mitt will have to move well to the right on some issues to win. Jeb or Rudy would make a great VP pick for a ticket that will crush Hillary, 53.5-45.5. (How's that for an exact prediction...lol.)

Mega Dittos, Jim.

To Senator McCain:

Seeing as how Free Republic is the most powerful forum (that's blog to those of you in Rio Linda) in America, you have to be asking yourself one question - "Do I feel lucky?" - well, do you punk?

YES!!! T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U, Jim!! Plus, in addition to what you said, I really think McCain is not quite right in the head. We can't have a mental case in the Oval Office.

[ But, luckily for them, I think conservatives are going to band together to destroy Mccain so that doesn't happen. ]

Many forget McLaim was actually considered for a running mate for John Kerry as VeeP.. Mclaim laughed it off.. but was flattered, he said.. Which republican in history was "honored" by the opposing party offering a spot on the ticket?..

Why was he considered?.. Why indeed.. Democrats know a traitor when they see one.. thats why..

Bush couldn't win against Kerry if the election were held today.

And you people wonder why nobody puts any credence into anything you all say.

But wouldn't it take a constitutional amendment to eliminate the electoral college? IIRC, a constitutional amendment has to be approved by two thirds of state legislatures, so this would have no chance of passage.

The libs have been busy little beavers on the local level and trying to get their people elected

We need to start paying attention .. and I am dead serious on that

Good God in Heaven..youre spitting this venom over...finance reform?! Judging by the smoke trailing from your words, I'd have thought that McCain was SATAN himself!

Are you really that blind?

and those of GOP presidents?

I believe their exact words were, "Read our lips; Souter's a reliable conservative."

7 of the nine on the Court were appointed by Republicans.

Do you honestly not see that a "Republican" can nominate a Liberal? An ACLU graduate? Someone that believes in a living Constitution and consulting a foreign document for a ruling? And, not by mistake, but even intentionally?

Our current Chief Roberts noted in a brief sketch while in the Reagan administration this very point, when someone made the same point you make. That a "republican" guarentees the courts will be righted. Check the history of appointments and their rulings. A Republican President is no guarentee, and neither is a nominee that is a "life long Republican".

Factor in the fact McCain considers O'Connor to be the standard.

If you wish to suggest I vote for Frist by using the argument of the Courts? Fine. I'd accept your argument may be valid. But to use that argument in McCain's case will not wash.

I am aware it is the 22nd amendment. ...so it wasn't just Congress. Understand.

Article V
The CONgress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary,
shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the CONgress;

ALL FEDERAL BENCHES.

You people like to focus on Souter and O'Connor, but never Breyer and Bader Ginsberg.... whose clones a democrat will nominate.

Try thinking about Roberts and Alito\ and a GOP POTUS and GOP majorities in congress.

Neither Roberts or Alito would have been confirmed had democrats been the majority.

Watch out for the mods Jim. (:>)

I have been afraid to say such, thanks one million for saying it like it is. The McCainiac is the most frightening politician to appear on the American scene in many decades. He is the very antithesis of all the constitution stands for.

Thanks again for straight talk about a crooked and twisted indivindual.

Oh, I acknowledge reality all right.

And I do believe this is about where I first entered Free Republic in a discussion much like this one. I have come full circle. : )

The reality is if it's between McCain and Hillary, Hillary will be far worse for the country than McCain. The best assurance we have that Hillary won't get into power is to vote for McCain. It's that simple.

I do not want Hillary's grubby chubby hands on the Presidency again. A President Hillary would be a disaster.
